I just thought I'd share a nice little story about our trip. During our second day, my husband was chatting with a lady while I rode the Tea Cups with my DD's. Turns out, the lady was leaving that morning and had 4 Costco tickets to Toontown Madness that her family wasn't able to use, so she passed them along.
I had read reviews and it sounded pretty lame to me, so I'd never really planned on attending TTM (and, of course, we didn't have tickets). But, we decided "what the heck" and used the tickets on our last morning at the parks.
What a pleasant surprise! We actually rode Alice and Small World before heading over to Toontown and it was perfect timing ... the opening show (where you become an honorary citizen of Toontwon) started at 8:20, so we were just on time. After the show (which, by the way, is directly in front of City Hall, so try to face it head on and not to the side like we did), CM's passed out the honorary citizen buttons (which my girls loved). Buttons in hand, we headed over to Gadget's Go Coaster and rode multiple times before heading out into the rest of Toontown to explore. We didn't want any character photgraphs, so we were able to really explore Toontown before it opened to the rest of the park - it was definately worth the time for our family. Now, if my goal was to meet Mickey, I might have felt differently since the line was at least 1/2 hour long after we got off Gadget's coaster ...
Anyway, I'm glad we got to experience Toontown Morning Madness - and it was all courtesy of a "stranger" at DLR!
