Took the plunge!

I put down the deposit today on our first DVC purchase. Here are the pertinent facts:

Property: BCV
Points: 30
UY: April
Points avail: None now with 37 (7 banked from 08) coming on April, 2009
Price: $89 a point
Broker: GMAC
Additional: Buyer to pay closing costs and 2009 Dues

Here's hoping it gets thru ROFR so we can start adding on thru DVC without any financing needed. I hate financing. Our target is to get to approx. 140 points at the BCV and then start on accumulating the same amount at the BWV, both in small increments (25-50 points at a time).

Fantastic plan! Congrats! I did our first small addon and will continue to do more when the extra cash is on hand. Nothing like paying cash for something!

I just did the same at about 12:30 this afternoon as well, but for a 75 point contract at BCV, through GMAC. I am thrilled! Now on to ROFR.

I figured a few people would that's why I am so thrilled we got it. Those smaller contracts are flying off the shelves, maybe that's normal. Now on to ROFR. This is our first DVC purchase and it is really perfect for us, so I hope all works out.
