We are thinking of taking a short planned trip the third week of October. However we wont have the cash saved until late August. Will it be impossible to get any decent ADR's with that short of notice? Dining is half the fun for our group.

Well why not get your ADR's now?? You do not have to have a reservation or anything to book.. as long as it is 180 days than that is all that matters

Cheers,

They'll ask you where your staying and the dates, so either have a place in mind or just say you haven't made the reservation quite yet. It's be NBD.

I think you should look over the restaurants and decide what places sound good and make your ADR's!

You guys have really made my night!! I can't wait to get started on planning. Thanks so much.

ha ha... yes~! make them now. You can always cancel. They only ask for your name I think. I had thought they would connect them to your room ressie but they don't. Just of course remember to cancel them if you change your mind! Have fun, dreaming of Disney Dining! My Bff is down there now and just had dinner at Libery Tree Tavern! I'm soooo jealous!!

Keep in mind that you may score and ADR or 2, certian ones will require a CC so funds aren't going to be available, that may limit your choices.

Don't panic if you decide to wait until you're sure about the trip to make your reservations. I just called today to make reservations for DH and I (we leave next week) and got everything I wanted, including 2 character meals and HDD! You probably won't get CRT, but as long as you're flexible with times, dates, etc. you probably won't have a problem.

I have to agree with this. Our last trip to WDW was a spur of the moment trip, and when I called about 2 weeks before we went, we were still able to get some ADRs as long as we were flexible. If I knew in advance about a trip, I would book my ADRs earlier, but if that isn't an option, you may not be entirely out of luck.

They may ask about a reservation, but you don't need one. They'll use your phone number as identification if you don't have a ressie.
