Hi everyone,

I'm planning a trip to disney with my bf for my birthday :cool1: and wanted to ask..... as a future 27 year old, would it be silly to carry around a pal mickey? :confused3 I'm a teacher and not shy of being (or looking silly) but I also don't want to look like a complete weirdo

Not even sure if he's still around to purchase. I was planning a trip a few years back and ended up not going  but now I'm all booked and ready to go. :yay:

I just wanted anyone's thoughts on this subject. Thanks in advance!

I am 42 years old and I bought one when I was there.... So if your a total weirdo, at least you won't be alone.

I will be 45 when I get to Disney World in October. Pal Mickey is definitely going to be one of my first purchases if not the first one. You are never too old to act like a kid. I have my own Pal Mickey thread going as well. My daughter pointed out yours to me. My youngest who is 15 gets embarassed by me acting young, but oh well. We went to a park about a month ago, at which time I picked up branches off the ground and started acting like they were my antlers. Lol, see never too old for fun. :mickeyjum

Two 50+ year olds bought a Pal Mickey a few years ago and carried it around the parks.

Pal Mickey has gone with me to the parks on my last two trips - though not every day. He also attended the PPP with me last August and will be helping me celebrate my 50th birthday this August. Oh, and I'm a teacher too!

Ok, glad to know I won't be silly or weird :) Thanks for the information, I can't wait to buy him! He will probably be my first purchase at Disney :cool1:

Ok...I'm a 32y/o male.
I never carried a Pal Mickey around, but I have carried a Pluto plush around the parks with me. I kept him in my backpack with his head stickin' out. Actually, there was this one time during the Jammin Jungle parade, as Pluto was walking by he spotted my plush and came right up to me, pointed at my plush and was high-fivin me! It was awesome.
Bottom line...you're never too old to be a kid at Disney and do things/carry things around that you would never do elsewhere!

the present Pal Mickey unless they changed it - is heavy.

have one and it goes to WDW but generally just stays in the car.

now if am flying it stays home.

I bought my Pal when I was 30. And I plan to use him again this year - ACK I'll be 35!!! But I am still a kid.

I love my Pal Mickey! My husband actually bought it for me on our first trip to Disney together. I was so sick one day and had to go back to the room early, and he surprised me with my very own PM as a get well soon gift. I was soooo sad that he was broken and I couldn't carry him around on our last vacation :-(

I bought one in Feb, it isn't very heavy at all.

I love Pluto! I do wish they made other characters as a pal.... maybe I should confess that on another thread lol :rotfl: But I will definitely get a pm when I'm down there, heavy or not.

I'm 50 and bought Pal Mickey when we were at WDW last October. We had our 15 month old granddaughter with us and hung it on her stroller. But
we are going again this October and at 51 years old, I plan to drag him back
to WDW with me. No kids or grandkids with us this time. It's not weird at all.

I don't have a pal mickey but I'm 21 and I have a plush Minnie mouse backpack that I will be carrying around in WDW when I am there. That is not even as practical as pal Mickey, but I had another one when I was little that I used to carry in WDW, so it makes me happy to act like I'm 6 again.

The greatest thing about WDW is that it's okay to look like a kid! Not only do I have a Pal Mickey, I have a box of mickey earrings, watches, rings, etc. that I break out and wear every single time we go!

Last time I was there we celebrated my birthday and my fam made me wear a tiara around (and I secretly loved it!)

My family and I went to WDW in January and my mother purchased a pal mickey. She loved and anytime he said anything all 13 of us stopped to listen. We had to make him repeat several times until all of us could here him. I'm 25 and about 1/2 of us were in our 20's and still enjoyed it.

A Tiara?! Now THAT is a girl's dream!
