Too old for Pal Mickey

I can't believe no one said don't do it...he's a waste. I'll always defend Pal Mickey. He's adorable. I have most of his outfits. I took him on my first Disney cruise but he did stay in the room and made friends with the towel animals. I did a PowerPoint of him at EPCOT. He doesn't always behave. He tried to tell me a joke in the HOP but I just ignored him.
BTW, I'm over 50 too.

Df is almost 27 and I am 24 and we bought a pal mickey when we were in disney in dec of 06 and then took him back this past dec. He gets a little heavy at times, but we just switch on and off. He'll carry him and then I will. I think its just when your tired that he seems like hes eaten a little bit of cheese when you weren't looking I even walked around holding my plush minnie after I bought her, but then she stayed in the hotel b/c I didn't want her to get yucky. She flew on the plane in my lap though I dont' care what people think...I love disney!

I have one that I bought last May and took him back with me January of this year. Your NEVER too old for Pal Mickey! He sits on my desk at work and I make him talk all the time. I also have a picture frame from MK that has twinkle lights if you push the button. People come to my desk and play with my toys......

I think you should never worry about looking silly at WDW. That is the one place we can let the inner child out...bring on the Pal Mickey, I don't have one either, but this thread had helped me decided I'm getting one in Sept!

I'm 40 and, although I haven't purchased one yet, I was quite envious of a friend of mine who had one last year during my trip.
I agree with the sentiments that if you want your Pal Mickey to accompany you, then do it.

All of the Pal Mickeys on this site were owned by adults who discovered how much FUN the little guy can be.

Age is irrelevant at WDW. Life is an attitude. Enjoy!

I heard about a couple who bought one and than cut off his legs and arms so he'd be lighter---all they were interested in was the voicebox with all the tips and such.

the present Pal Mickey unless they changed it - is heavy.

have one and it goes to WDW but generally just stays in the car.

now if am flying it stays home.

My Pal Mickey flew with me. He even had his own seat on the way home. One of my favorite pictures is of him looking out of the window. I guess it depends upon how mature you think you are or how old you want to act.

I got my Pal Mickey last year - I'm 55 ----
The day I bought it , it was raining a bit in the morning - soooooooo of course I had to buy him a raincoat & hat
I love the little guy - right now he's sitting on my bookshelf and when I dust I give him a little squeeze and wait to hear what he'll say. He'll be joining me this year on my next trip.

OMG! That's awful! My boss bought one on his trip, brought it back and left it on his desk to remind him of Disney's commitment to customer service. I've never purchased one, because I don't like carrying anything around the park. If they ever have a Pal Tink, I am SO sold!

I love Pal Micky-I didn't get one last year and now regret it. I will definitely get one next time I go. I don't care what anyone else thinks about my love of Disney, we are never too old. That's part of the magic.

I definately "WANT" one, but need to decide if I want to carry him around all day. I know no one else in my family will. BUT I will have a back pack so ... I may just have to indulge myself!

Oh and to the poster who wore the tiara on your birthday.. I am SO LOVIN that idea! I am going to Disney next Feb with my sister for my birthday and I am SO stealing one of my DD tiara's to wear all day!

Too old for a pal Mickey...NEVER!!!! What is the fun of vacation in the World without being a big kid again? My wife was thrilled when she first learned about the different outfits you could buy him lol.

I was in Disney last August and kept debating on whether to buy Pal Mickey. I ultimately decided it was silly. I regret that now and will definitely be buying one this September when I go to celebrate my birthday!!! I'll be 34!! Like a previous poster said, you're never to old to act like a kid in Disney!!!!!!
