Hi everyone! I need some opinions on our schedule for our upcoming trip the 1st week of Oct:
Saturday: arrive around 2pm, MK
Sunday: MK
Monday: Epcot
Tuesday: MGM
Wednsday: MK
Thursday: Animal Kingdom; MNSSHP
Friday: MK until late afternoon; Back to NJ

We have 3 girls ages 7, 5, and 3 so I know the MK will be their favorite, but is this going to be too much time their and not enough in the other parks? We have not purchased the hopper option on our package....maybe we should? Opinions please?????? Thanks!!!!

You can never spend too much time in MK. It is one of our favorites. I would however considering getting the park hopper with the tickets. You may want to go to MK in the morning and then hit another park in the afternoon or vice versa.

Are you doing any character buffets? I am sure the girls are into the princess' and they have a breakfast in Cinderalla's castle that is good, one in Norway in Epcot and a dinner at the Grand Floridian. There is also Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. We like the character buffets for the food, entertainment and plus it saves time at the parks because since we saw our "friends" for the meal we don't have to spend time in a line. We can now spend that time doing a ride or a seeing a show.

Hope this helps a bit. Have a great time! :flower:

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we are doing quite a few character meals. We have ADR's for Chef Mickey's, Epcot Storybook breakfast, Crystal Palace, and 1900 Park Fare. Any good ones that I am missing? .......
and yes, maybe we will consider adding on the hopper. We had the hopper in 2003 and hardly ever used it, only to hop over to Epcot in the evenings a couple of nights. It's only 35$ per ticket, right?....

You can never spend too much time at MK. It is always our first park and our last park to visit during our stay! We always end up spending more time at MK than we originally plan to. ::MickeyMo

One of the reasons I like park hoppers is that we rarely ever spend one day in one park. We enjoy park hopping and make the decision to come and go depending upon the weather, the crowds, early openings and closings, where we want to eat and on and on. I would consider a park hopper.

Looks good to me! Our family LOVEs MK and would live there if we could.

My only suggestion is getting the hopper and maybe doing something different in the evenings.

I couldn't live without the hopper option so I always just automatically budget it in. That way if you are sick of a park or if it's too crowded or if it closes early or if you are done early, you can head elsewhere.

No matter what have a great time!

Just wanted to add that if you had the hopper option, on Sunday you could go to MGM in the evening (EMH) unless you aren't staying onsite.

On Monday, I think in October, MK stays open later and has Spectro and Wishes which you could catch with a hopper.

I'm going with my 2 girls at the same time..they're 11 & 6...& we're spending the majority of our time in the MK as well..AK is our 2nd favorite so I planned on hitting it twice & then going back to MK at night. So the hopper is a great idea! My girls love spectro...above Fantasmic, above Illuminations..so we will spend a day at one of the other parks but always end our day at MK, even if we just go down mail street grab a snack ride one or 2 rides in Fantasyland & head back.

We're doing all those character meals as well..did you post your plan on the October thread? I winder if we'll be anywhere at the same time

I agree that you can never spend too much time at MK :cool1: especially at the ages your children are!! We usually check in and out on consecutive Saturdays and spend all day Sun; half a day on Wed and all day Friday at MK!! HAVE FUN!!

Too much time in MK...never! lol We hadn't planned on going to MK as much as we ended up going. The kids (and us) loved it, so we ended up there at some point almost every day!!!

And I would definately get the hoppers!! :flower:

Also agree with everyone-----------never to much time in MK. We will be at WDW for 11 days this fall and we are scheduled for 1 AK, 1 MGM, 2 EPCOT and the rest MK. Our children prefer MK and thats where they want to be.

Thanks everyone! I think we are going to go ahead and add the hopper. That way we will have the option to leave MK for the evening, and I would just die if Fantasmic got rained out on our MGM day and I couldn't get back in there to see it another day! Just for that reason alone, I think I will get the hopper. Now the question is, do I just call and add it over the phone, or do it at the resort when we check in?
