Thanks for reading my dining report, although I have never done this before so bear with me. We went Sep 5-12 and not only were we on the Deluxe Dining Plan, we also stayed concierge level. It was a ton of food!! I originally also had the Wishes Dessert Party scheduled, but half way through ended up canceling because I knew there was no way we could enjoy it. Boma was the only restaurant that I did not get food porn at and oddly enough we ate there twice.

Who are we? Two 20 something newlyweds, it was hubby's first time to Disney and I hadn't been I hadn't been there for probably 10 years.

Here are the restaurants I will be reviewing, plus some snacks along the way:

Main St. Bakery
Liberty Tree Tavern
Narcoossees
50's Primetime
California Grill
Earl of Sandwhich
Yachstman Steakhouse
Sunrise Safari
Yak & Yeti
Jiko
Whispering Canyon Breakfast
Sunshine Seasons
Lecellier
Boma
Alcohol

Hope you enjoy, we just got home today so I will start working on my first review soon!

Well this review will be a little boring and I apologize, I can't read dining reviews without pictures!!! We stayed at AKL so we got there late and by the time we checked in and got our stuff to the rooms, it was time for our 9 pm reservation. Alas, we forgot the camera! Boma is a really unique looking restaurant, which I loved and the service was wonderful. I knew the food was going to be out of my league because I am pretty picky. DH is more adventurous, but even he couldn't find much he liked here. There were a couple things we liked, the strip loin & shoulder, I think it was. The mealie muffins, fruit, mac n cheese. DH tried the watermelon rind salad and the look on his face was priceless. He said it was the worst thing he ever tasted, LOL! Another surprise of the evening was zebra domes. He loved them and I couldn't stand them. There will be a couple more "dis-favorites" in other reviews that I found I did not like. Our last meal of the trip was also Boma, but we did the breakfast and we had already packed the camera :) Breakfast was really great, I just wish we had more of an appetite to enjoy it. It was the last day of deluxe dining and boy were we feeling it. I had actually been sick the night before after the Halloween party and I dont think I was sick, I just think it was just too much food catching up to me. I loved the scrambled eggs and the eggs with goat cheese. Everything else was really good and would definitely go back! Now that I have the two reviews with no pictures done I can start on the fun ones

So it is now our first full day at Disney and we decided to do MK first. We made it to rope drop and headed straight for Main St. Bakery and were one of the first ones in line. When in line I asked about what I could get with my dining plan and was told the sandwhich, drink and a sweet, which suprised me since I had heard on the Dis it was a sandwhich and 2 drinks. A pleasant surprise though!

We both had the ham, egg, and cheese croissants which were wonderful! For several days DH talked about these. For my sweet, I chose the chocolate chip croissant which I did not like at all and didn't eat it. He chose the cinnamon roll which was also very good, though he quickly realized later he shouldnt have ate everything! I think this place will be a must do for future trips.:goodvibes

If you feel my photos are too big let me know, I tried to go to a "medium" size, but you lost a lot of detail and the food didn't look as good!

I think the photo size is perfect! I am drooling for that cinnamon roll! Wow, it looks great!

Oh what I would give to be munching on that ham egg and cheese croissant from MK Bakery...it is incredible

That cinnamon roll looks delicious. Looking forward to the rest for your reviews.:)

Before I start on LTT, I just want to mention what a wonderful Dis-husband I have! He was the one always reminding me to take pictures of all the food and wanted to order different things than me so we could have different pics. I loved it!!! I also am trying to figure out my receipts and the one I am stuck on is my Main St Bakery receipt. Can anyone give me what you think my total is? We had 2 egg, ham croissants, 1 cinnamon roll, 1 choc crossaint, 1 milk and 1 32 oz drink. I just want a roundabout average!

Now onto the review!!! This is Liberty Tree Tavern...

To start off DH had the soup kettle of the day which was a barley soup, he thought it was very good.

I already knew what my app going into this would be, the Tavern Fried Cheese w/ marinara sauce. This was GREAT!
IMG_0549.jpg

For his entree, DH had "New England Pot Roast... braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables."
IMG_0553.jpg

My entree was "Pilgrims' Feast - traditional roast turkey with herb bread dressing, mashed potatoes and a garden vegetable."
IMG_0552.jpg

Now earlier in the meal I had warned him not to eat too much, we have got dessert. Well this being our first TS meal, he didn't believe me. So he ate his entire app and entree :scared1: Needless to say we had to share dessert. Of course we ordered-Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake -- vanilla cake with a gooey toffee filling and caramel sauce
IMG_0554.jpg

YUM!! I would definitely come back here and in a pinch would come back just for the tavern fried cheese and the ooey gooey toffee cake, those were the best! Next up is Narcoosee's

Great pictures. So glad you enjoyed lunch at LTT. We ate dinner here on our last trip. It was just ok. I had an ADR for lunch on our next trip. I am hoping to like lunch better. My DH is sooo going to love that toffee cake. Can't wait to read more. Congratulations!

We're going to our first Signature restaurant!! I was really excited, but slightly nervous, because we aren't "fancy food" people. We took the bus to MK then got on the ferry to GF, which was the perfect way to start it off.

This was my appetzier-"Crab Cakes - Southern Slaw and Cajun Remoulade sauce." This was one of my least favorite dishes of the trip, but in all fairness, I had never tried crab cakes before so I'm guessing I just dont like crab cakes.

IMG_0635.jpg

"Fried Rhode Island Calamari - pepperoncini relish, tomato coulis, and extra virgin olive oil." This was DH's first time with calamari and it was one of his favorites.

IMG_0637.jpg

My Entree- "Surf and Turf - twin medallions of filet mignon, butter poached rock lobster tail, potato gratin, and choron sauce" Now I realize most people say the lobster tail is frozen and not good, but I tried DH's maine and I still liked mine better. To each his own I guess.

IMG_0636.jpg
DH's entree- I cant get him to say much about his food now, but he loved his lobster and said it was excellent.

IMG_0639.jpg

DH's dessert- "Strawberry Shortcake - vanilla bean whipped cream and strawberry sauce" Dh said heavenly

IMG_0640.jpg

My dessert- "Almond-crusted Cheesecake - with lambert cherry sauce"
I asked for strawberry sauce instead of cherry, but thended up not tasting it, this was a GREAT dessert! Crunchy, yet creamy it was wonderful!

Afterwards we grabbed a couple glasses of Moscato and headed out to the balcony for our first Wishes of the trip. The first of many....it was magical:wizard:
