Too many snack credits

Did anyone else have too many snack credits left over? I had about 12 on my last day. It was really difficult to find things to take home since they have that stupid one serving rule in place. Under $4 should have been a snack credit IMO even if it was a larger serving. If I could do it over again we would have used more of the snack credits in the parks. We just weren't hungry enough for each member in our family to get one thing so we would buy one or two and share. Just curious how everyone else felt about this.

We had quite a few snack credits left over, but that was because we didn't know that some things we would have gotten during the week could have been covered under a snack credit.

It turned out okay because we got chips and drinks for the 9 hour ride home :goodvibes

We had about 18 snack credits left over. On our last evening Dec. 23, we went to MK and bought 18 servings of different pastries, cakes, etc. We took them home (by car) and had family over and enjoyed them on Christmas Eve.

We do a lot of signature dining, so we end up using our snacks for breakfasts. Even then, we have a few at the end of the week. We normally just buy some snacks for the trip home.

I'll lend you my Mom for your next trip. That woman knows how to spend some snack credits!:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Early on in the trip I'm reluctant to spend a snack credit on something under $2 -

but since I discovered the gelato - I cant get enough of that stuff!!

:)

That is why I'm studying the snack list from above and the day before we leave I print it out for us. I remember looking at it just before I was buying a item last year, people were looking at me strange but I didn't care. This year I will do the same...

If I was at Epcot right now, I would buy a dozen of those Schoolbreads from the Norway bakery. Yummy!!! The bakery in Disney Hollywood Studios also had a great selection to use snack credits.

ok--just WHAT is the school bread? I've seen many people mention it--what is it like?

Schoolbread looks like a big cupcake. However it's like a roll with custard inside and frosting with coconut on top. It's incredible. I never thought I would like it as much as I did. Go get some when you're there!

We have an easy time using our SC. Mostly at the bakerys or getting a Dole whip or a sunday or shake. Our last day we head over to Norway in EPCOT and finish off the remaining SC at the Kringla Bakery and yes those school bread are great.
Can't see how you can have so may SC credits left, just get 1 soda or ice tea at the parks for each every day and that would take care of the SC. We usually OOP the soda and save them for the goodies but if we didn't get the goodies I would use them on the sodas.
Geloto where do you get those.

No trouble here either. The last day we saw we had like 6 left over, we got 2 bottles of water and 4 cookies for the 4 of us to split on our trips home. We also snapped off a bunch at Goofy's Candy company! WOW! I do love that place!

We had the same problem that you did. We were never hungry enough for snacks, and since we had a total of 78 snack credits to use over two weeks - it got a little ugly in the end buying Mickey Crispy Treats to take home.:rotfl:

You don't have to use snacks just for "food" or the best value. We may just get more thirsty than most, but I don't find it difficult to use SC for drinks....at least they aren't wasted.

Okay, I confess. Does anyone remember the "There's always room for jello" commercials? That's how I feel about pastries! I would have no problem using every last credit on these glorious creations!:lmao: I try to eat healthy...except when I overindulge on vacation.

on past visits, we spent the vast majority of our SCs on iced mochachinos :lovestruc at writers' stop, as well as a few on goodies at the F&WF.
in may, we'll prob try some of the school bread, maybe a pastry or 2 in france.
we are not big "snackers" (don't enjoy popcorn, soft pretzels, soft drinks, or most candy), & already have bottled water, but still manage to use every last SC without any effort.
btw, i do keep an ongoing list of all the "little things" we would like to do each vacation (including a new place or thing to try) ~ the list always contains a few "new to us" snack items from the snack thread.
:)

We are going to WDW for the first time :cool1: and are getting the Deluxe Dining Plan.

Before reading this thread, I was under the impression that I had to use up my daily credits by the end of each day and I couldn't exceed the daily limit.

Do I understand this correctly? Can I eat four snacks one day and no snacks another day? Can I eat two 2-ticket TS meals one day (i.e. CRT for breakfast & CA Grill for dinner) or will that be over my daily limit?

Sorry, maybe I am analyzing this too much? I am just feeling a little confused (which is a state I find myself in often  )

You are given all of your credits upon check-in, and it's up to you how/when you spend them. So yes, you can eat four snacks one day and no snacks another day. It's entirely possible to eat two 2-ticket TS meals one day and then eat just one TS meal a different day.
