Too many days on ticket

I have more days on my park pass than I need. Due to a cancelled trip, and how the flights to/from Orlando worked out, I have 2 extra days on my park pass. Is there any way to save them? Any word on when Disney may start selling APs? Or is it just lost money?

When did you buy your ticket? When is your trip?

I would go talk to them in guest services once you arrive. You might be able to save the extra days for a future trip. They did this for me in November.

Originally the ticket was purchased in either late 2019 or early 2020. It had days added to it once, as first it was only a 4 day ticket. And now it is an 8 day ticket but I only need 6 or 7 days.

The other option is you can save those tickets for a later trip, and buy new tickets for this trip for the number of days you want. It is an investment of money and only worthwhile if you will be going again in the near future for at least the number of days on your current tickets. You will have to pay the difference in cost for moving the tickets (if it is more expensive) and would need to call Disney at least a couple of days before you had planned to use the tickets to switch the dates. If you decide to do this, I would call Disney first to be on the safe side.

You could change the tickets to add water parks, park hopping or both, and reduce the number of park days. You won't save any money, but you could put the cost of the two unneeded park days towards a ticket upgrade you may be able to use.

When our flight was messed up and we lost a day they were so helpful they actually rebooked our trip and gave me a refund of that nights hotel and changed our tickets to 3 day instead of 4. You never know untill you ask... my DH said there was no way they would refund the hotel it was hours untill check in and we were still 600 miles away.

If the old ticket had passed its hard expiration date, so that trading it in towards a more current ticket is mandatory ...

... then you can do such things as apply a year 2018 issued 8 day ticket towards a 2021 6 day ticket.
