Too Many ADRs?

We have some family taking their kids (3 kids age 4 and under) to WDW for the first time in Sept. The parents have not been to WDW before. Me and my niece are the disney planners in the family so we offered to help or at least answer any questions they have. They have had the trip booked for 3 months and not a question or word from them looking for advice. I did see a post on Facebook that all their ADRs were booked - 17 total in 10 days. Does anyone think this is too many ADRs with small children? They got free dining but must have upgraded to Deluxe because they will need more table service credits than they are allotted. I wondered if they realized they only get 1 TS meal per day.

They live in a different state but were visiting this past weekend and I thought they might save their questions for the visit but not a word of the trip was mentioned. I did bring the subject of WDW up within earshot talking to my niece and nephew about our Nov trip. They only thing she said was "we have all of our ADRs done". I didn't respond.

Maybe they are planning to cancel some of them. Or maybe they just want to eat a lot! Maybe they are paying OOP for some of them. It is obviously their choice. It can be a pain in the neck when people don't ask us Disney geeks for advice ;), but sometimes we have to let them learn from their mistakes! Would I do 17 sit down meals in 10 days? No WAY! But, they didn't ask me! :rolleyes1

I dunno. We (2 adults) have 14 ADR's planned for 7 days. One for lunch and one for dinner each day. Having said that, I know if we had a child with us there is no way we would be able to pull off all 14 of those ADR's off....lol.
