Too late to book for Christmas

It looks like we may be using our Tesco vouchers this year (assuming that Tesco do not replace Cresta/Bridge this month). We would have ideally wanted to visit DLRP over Christmas (to include Christmas Day). I have just looked at the Cresta website and it looks like all the direct services on the Eurostar to DLRP are booked up. Can anyone tell me how much of an inconvenienc it is to go via Lille (really did not want to do this!).

Also if you stayed OVER Christmas or in the Christmas week - how far in advance did you book your holiday and meals.

Can anyone tell me how much of an inconvenienc it is to go via Lille (really did not want to do this!).

I went via Lille once, there was about a 30 min wait transfering. Its easy enough.

One advantage is you can get to the park much earlier if you get an early train to Lille.

The only real problem is getting French people out of your seats on the TGV.

Last time I got the eurostar it was via Lille and it really isn't a huge inconvience. It has a 40 min wait between the eurostar & the TGV but that flys by and there are huge screens in Lille to tell you when the train appears. And it's nice to have a bit of a break from sitting in a train! I think the eurostar & the TGV both leave from the same platform.
The only issue I had with the TGV was the luggage space. There is a tiny place at the ends of the carriages and then lots of space above the seats. However, if you have a heavy case the last thing you want to do is lift it above your head! But a nice french girl pointed out there was space between the seats that back onto each other. Just a bit of a hassle with that. But it's very funny watching people try to get on at CDG!!!!
