Hi I am planning on going to Disneyland Resort CA in about September 2009, I realise that's 2 years away yet, but one can never be too prepared!! Lol.
I want to spend a week at DLR and hopefully will be staying at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel.
So, what do you think? Anyone vaguely interested? Of course things may come up, life happens etc, but well, on the basis that I plod along normally as you do lol, then it's "wahey! 2009 here we come!" lol

I think it's great that you've started planning early! Heck I started planning to go to DLR the minute I found out I was going to CA!!! I will be there in 9 days!!! The time will go by much faster once you have the peace of mind that you have planned...but I've never waited 2 years for a trip...I am a little concerned that you might become frustrated. But you'll be going to Disney and it will be worth it!

Thanks for the vote of confidence!
the reason it's 2 years away is because I already have enough planned aready until then!
This august I am in Italy for 10 nights, September going to Disneyland Paris for 3 days, then in November I am off to Toronto for a year!! LOL!
So as you can see 2009 was the soonest I could fit it in!
There shouldn't be any reason why I can't go, but like you said, yes it is a long wait! But I guess I wil survive! Lol!

Oh well I didn't understand that you had other trips (and living situation!!) to occupy yourself with in the meantime :)
With your bee-bopping around you should find that the time passes quickly (and nicely (as in FUN!))
Please note that I am envious as I haven't been to Italy in 7 years :headache:
I hope you have some great trips and clue us in to your adventures!!

Honestly I have started planning my trip for december. I say it is never to early to start planning. I am much happier planning my trip.:cutie:

OP, although it is nice to plan a Disney-trip, the good thing about DL (and DLP) is that you don't have to plan it!
Of course, you need to make transport and hotel arrangements, but other than that, you can actually "wing it", unless you go in THE most busy week of the year (no idea what week that would be though) or want to eat at THE most popular restaurant (Blue Bayou at DL, not one really at DLP).

You can't believe how relaxing it is to just go with the flow and do as you like, depending on the moment.

Anyway, if you need extra information, PM me, I have been to both many times as a solo traveller.

You can't go wrong planning ahead. My DW & I are going the week after next, but we're already planning for another visit to DL in February.

With time to plan, you can check out all the possibilities and get the best locations and deals; although the wait would probably drive me nuts.

Best to you in your planning and your trip.
