Too early for a SPring Break 2013 Poll?

We are the week of March 17, which looks like a less busy week sandwiched between two much more popular Spring Break weeks.

That is the week we will be there too (just 2 days at the park and then cruising). This poll makes me happy to see our week is a little less common. All public schools in our state have spring break the same week.

My sister's school wraps around with Easter. I actually was very naive and thought everyone did this (because it makes the most sense and its what I grew up doing so I didn't know any different) but that's not the case!

So glad I found this poll! However looks like the week we are going: March 23-30th will be a busy week. We went in July 2012 and it was very HOT... However have to work around my son's school schedule..

I too am a teacher...last time we went at New Years and that was fun. This year we are going for March Break. For NB (Canada) that means our trip is from March 2nd to the 9th.

So my parents are trying to get the entire family together for a Disney World trip. The week of March 24th works for everyone in the family since the kids are on Spring Break. I am thinking this week will be very crowded. I have heard that on some weeks of Spring break that the MK gets so crowded that they actually stop letting people in the park. Looking at the poll results above it looks like more people have break that week than any other.

I am thinking of proposing that we go in the summer instead. We have been there in the summer before so we know about the weather, crowds, and tour groups. Although I thought it was crowded at the park, it was bearable. Are the Spring Break crowds worse than what we would experience in June or July?

Also where is that site that shows the historic crowd levels? Is that something I have to pay for?

Edit: I did some searching and found this thread which helped answer my question. Looks like the week of the 24th is anticipated to be one of the 4 busiest weeks of 2013.

Great question. I'm debating this same week vs. a week in January. We have done summer and I think its so much more enjoyable when you are not sweating to death. But if I can handle summer crowds can I handle Spring Break crowds?

I'd prefer Spring so that we could use the pools,etc which I doubt we could do in January.

according to **************.net summer crowds seem to be worst from (week of) 6/15 - 8/10 so if you can go before or after that period, won't be as bad as the Spring break week.

My mom has a place in CA for Feb/ Mar and unfortunately our spring br is mar 31. I"m also a teacher. I am looking at taking a few days off to go visit her and thought about going to disney for a few days as well since it's only 45 min. This poll is helping a lot.
One thing to add, it seems that a lot of the people posting from TX have a Mar 10 break BUT they seem to mostly be headed to WDW. I think I will either go that wk or the week before. Another thing to keep in mind is college breaks.

2013 s/b for us is week of March 24th.

I'm hoping we will be going April 12th-17th..

We are also limited to spring break week for family vacations and summer is too hot. Thinking about spring break 2013 trip. Our spring break is march 24-31 this year. Hope to see more replies to poll to see what everyone else's schedule is.

I have one dd in private school. They are out the weeks of March 17th and 24th.
My dd in public school is out the week of April 14th.

I'm thinking of taking my older dd March 15-19. Then dh is taking younger dd to Universal April 15-19.

My kids are off the week of March 24th (we live in the Southwest Suburb of Chicago). No worries, tho....we have no plans of going to WDW during that time. We did it twice and that was more than enough .
