Too Close For Comfort

We are 35 days from our vacation and I had to call today to add DME to our reservation. 5 minutes after the call I refreshed MDE to make sure everything was intact and my FP ressies were gone! and I knew all too well what happens to people when they make any changes to the pkgs. And yes I made my selections at the booty crack of dawn at 60 days out with 7DMT and Anna and Elsa. But dang it I had to let them know that we want to be picked up from the airport and taken back. So while I am on hold for tech support I logged out and back in and poof everything is back where it should be. Thank goodness!!! But seriously you guys that was so scary! If I have to change anything in the next month (which I shouldn't) I am going to just have to wing it because that was too close for comfort.

I feel so fortunate that mine managed to pop back up but there are so many others who have not been so lucky. It makes me so sad because the system really should not be so fragile.

Welcome to the "glitchiest software on Earth". The system seems to still have way too many bugs. I had to change some FP times and it took 4 days for it to update.

Glad everything is back to normal.

So glad your FP's are back, that can be pretty scary after all the time you put in and everything is gone!

Next time, you really don't have to call to add DME. Just go to the counter at the airport, show them your ID and resort reservation number, and you can get on, no problem. Hope you have a great trip!

We're there the same time too...except leaving 9/7.

Even with proof they were there a lot of people are being told there is nothing they can do if someone else snatches the cancellations, just as with ADRs that are lost.

I don't know in this case. I wouldnt really consider having to log to the account of a quicker refresh "fastpass roulette". Minor hiccup, maybe - but they didn't actually go anywhere.

you could be right and indeed they did return to where they needed to be while I was on hold with Disney but when I logged into my account after having the magical express added the window that held my FP ressies had a warning icon stating that I needed to call technical support with a number attached and that my FP information could not be found.....and they were not there anymore. It was then that I immediately called the number and while waiting in the queue I started to play around and try to find a trace of them, eventually leading me to sign out and back in and then there they were.

This exact thing has happened to me 3 times - I hit refresh & they load up. I think it's a loading problem...

I just cannot imagine the grief that people go through when it actually erases their reservations and they don't get them back. I had a just a moment of terror when I did not see them so it must be heartbreaking for others

Well if it makes you feel any better I think that most people are right when they posted that my FP's did not get cancelled out but more or less temporarily did not show up while my account was updating. But, all the same I will not be doing anything from this point on just to be sure.
