Too Buy or Not Too Buy

I have 3 parks left on each ticket for my family of 4. I don't see us needing park tickets till at least next summer. We go to Disney once a year and sometimes twice but don't always due the parks. Do I spend the $2311.80 tonight to buy 4 10 day non expiration with 10 fun visits or do I wait till I need them and pay a heck of a lot more for them. Please help....

I would wait. A lot can happen in a year. Maybe you will decide next summer you want to go to Sw or Universal instead and don't even need tickets for 2 years. Plus, maybe you'll get a pin code for a package deal? or????? For that much $$$, I would save the cash and wait.

I had to laugh when I saw this post... I haven't been on the budget board in weeks, and I checked it on a long car ride this morning and saw the thread about the increase in prices. DH and I have since been discussing it ALL day and decided to go ahead and make the plunge. I used the mousesavers link at UT (they still have old prices) and that saved us close to $500 from the new WDW prices. My biggest dilemma was that we were pre-paying for vacations for a few years down the road, but I just couldn't let it go to pay so much more in the future. After numerous calculations, we are basically getting the WP and Fun days for free... and if it goes up again next year (very likely) then the savings will be greater.

So if you are definitely going to go again and you have the cash available now to do it, go for it. It broke my heart to plunk out that much money for 5 tickets we're not using until the next year and beyond, but it'll be worth it over the next few years.

Since you're a DVC member, I'm sure the tickets won't go to waste. If you have the money, buy them. It's not like you're getting more than 0.5% interest on the money sitting in your savings account.
