We have never been and were thinking about giving it a try. Anyone been lately? What did you think?

I was just there in January, and I know there are tons of people who hate it, but I LOVED it. I had a great salad and the spaghetti was good too. Creme brulee for dessert was good as well. I really liked the atmosphere, we sat out on the porch and it was very pretty. You can sit inside too, we just wanted to sit outside. I say try it once, if you hate it, don't go back!

We ate there in Dec and I ate there in July and loved it. Going back again in May.

Well, I'd have to say no. IMHO, it's pretty medicore Italian food. Then again, we are blessed with lots of great Italian restaurants in our area so many I am biased. I would put it on par with an Olive Garden, maybe even a little lower than that. We've been once and while it was not a terrible meal, it was very ordinary and pretty expensive for what we got.

The food at Tony's is pretty good. The atmosphere is great. We always seem to gothere. Here are a couple of pics. this is the Calamari appitizer.

I was not wow-ed by my two trips there. We had horrible service both times, and the food is mediocre. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. (and neither is the atmosphere!)

In the end, I decided there are better places to eat in the park.

When we ate there in 2000, it was one of the top two meals of the week (nobody beats LeCellier for us), but when we did the MNSSHP dinner last year I was totally disappointed. I didn't eat barely any of it (and I was quite hungry). I got the baked ziti and it tasted like paper (yep folks, paper). I don't know if it was because of the party menu or what (maybe the menu was IN the food?). I'm gonna give it another shot this year (skipping it on MVMCP nite) and see if it was just a fluke, because I do really like the location/ambiance of it. The seating hostesses were also quite rude (one example: twice they called us, we walked to a table and they promptly told us to go back and sit down up front again fairly curtly-don't know what the deal was with that-then proceeded to argue loudly with each other over it).

I'm pretty forgiving though (every single person I know is baulking loudly at that statement), I think the only two places that have burned me for life are Fulton's and Wolfgang Puke's.

We enjoyed eating there in the past. We like other places better but we would still go back there to eat.

We've had dinner there twice--awful both times. Tough steak and spaghetti with some tomato paste on it. I can make much better at home for a fraction of the cost. We would never do dinner again--or recommend it. I've heard better things about lunch, so we may try that one of these days. Enjoy!

I have only eaten there once but really enjoyed it although I thought $18 (or something like that) was a bit high for spaghetti. We do have them on our list of ADR's we will make for our December trip. My dd22 loved it and my dh, ds4 and dd2 have never been. We are trying to pick things we haven't done multiple times before and dd22 is excited to be going back. I hope it doesn't disappoint her (of course, Olive Garden is about the best Italian we go to).

Ate there in December and while it was not the favorite meal it certainly was not terrible. The resteraunt is very lovely and the service was wonderful. The food was good and plentiful. It really was the atmosphere and service that made it a great time. My son did not like what he ordered and they immediately replaced it - quickly too i might add. They let us keep his first choice and we all nibbled on it. I am not sure, but I do not think they even charged us for it.(not on the Dining Plan as we are AP holders and had the DDE) We would go again as it was enjoyable and relaxing.

Tony's always gets mixed reviews. People either love it or hate it.

Personally, I love Tony's. We've eaten there during almost every WDW trip and have never had a bad meal.

The last time we were there, we snagged a table on the "porch" and enjoyed a delicious dinner during the parade. You can't get much better than that!

We are Tony's fans, too. :thumbsup2

Always had great service and found the food quite tasty. We generally prefer lunch, BTW :teeth:

I enjoy Tony's and if I had such a prime location, Id charge high as well. I dont care what the prices are anyway. On the DDP, a $50 plate of spaghetti would be covered :rotfl: :lmao: :stir:
