Tonys Town Square - any opinions?

We love Tony's. Everybody in my family goes. Try it for yourself cause there are so many different opinions on the boards.

For me personally I think its ok, but ds and dh conclude that it is their favorite place in MK. The food was ok but my dh got calamari (sp) for his appetizer and even after it was gone I could smell that stuff.:crazy2: So, I think it kinda dampened my experience. But I think it must be pretty good, as everyone in our area seem to order it.

We are going there in March and have a 2:45pm ADR. If you get to eat outside, could you see the 3:00 parade from there? We are really looking forward to trying this restaurant out. We all love Italian food and we wanted to eat at a MK restaurant that didn't require seeing any characters (doing enough of them during the rest of our stay).

I thought the service was great and my chicken parm was terrific. I can see where the pasta dishes might be a bit ordinary, but if you like chicken parm, I'd recommend it. I'll go back for it next trip, and the flatbread sounds good too.

I was a bit scared to try this after reading so many negative reviews on the DIS but all three of us liked it. We were also there on a MNSSHP night and it was very busy, yet our server was great, we didn't have to wait long for anything. I plan on eating here again.

We will be eating there again this trip (3rd time) because
my DH and DS say this is there favorite place to eat.
I always get seafood and it's been good everytime.
My DH likes the steak and DS likes either the flat bread
or chicken and all has been good.
This is a very pretty restaurant and I love the atmosphere.
Some people that are negitive against Tonys may like
a Restaurant that I don't care for so I don't give there
option much consideration.
I think Tony's is worth a try so you can form your own
Conclusion.

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Therefore, it is not on my list to go back to. Nothing wrong with the food, just nothing special. I want my meals at Disney to be things I cannot get back home.

I couldnt have said it better!

We have not eaten at Tony's in just about 5 years. We were very disappointed with the last couple of meals we had there. But things change and we have seriously thought about trying it again. We used to love it and really do miss going there. We even went there for breakfasts many moons ago. They were awesome.

I enjoyed my meal there. I will try to include some pictures. I had the minestrone, steak and the fruit. My friend had the artichoke dip, pasta and the ice cream.

We haven't tried eating at Tonys Town Square, but it seems that some of here likes it. I'll maybe put it in our list and try in our next trip. Thanks a lot.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

We were there in October during MNSSHP and the service was great, the portions were huge but the food was average.

The answer to your question is YES! If you sit on the outside porch you will be able to see it. I actually sat in the inclosed porch and I could still see the top of the floats. :thumbsup2

I think it varies depending on when you eat there and what you order. The first time I tried it about three years ago with my mom, I hated my meal and couldn't even eat it, but my mom loved hers. I tried some of hers and agreed it was good. My entree was burnt and the cake so dry I couldn't eat it. I went back four months later with my husband and we both had a great meal. In fact, it was his favorite meal of the trip. He had a mozzarella/tomato salad, steak, and amaretto cheesecake. My salmon was also delicious. I then went back again a few months later. My appetizer and desert were wonderful, but my entree was terrible and again inedible. So again, it seems to just depend on when you go and what you order.

food was good but not one to write home about
on the ddp you have choices so in MK this is it
I would go back again as service was great and food was good
that is all I need ... opinions good or bad...make your own

We love Tony's. The last time we went was Aug 07. It turned out to be one of my family's favorite meals of the trip. We are heading back in June and it is on our list of must do's. The food is good, the service was awesome (we had a great CM). I had the eggplant dish and loved it! Yum!
My little one (3) had mac and cheese she finished the whole thing! My older daughter and dh had the flatbread which they both enjoyed very much.

We are thinking of booking a reservation here. We have never had dinner at this restaurant and were wondering if anyone could give us an opinion. Thanks in advance!

We just got back from WDW and we ate at Tony's the first night of our trip. We liked it very much! My husband really liked the (App) Tomato and Mozzarella Salad. He said it is a must!! I had the Minestrone soup which was really good. For dinner we had Shrimp Scampi and the Chicken Parmigiana. Both very good. For dessert we had the Ice Cream Bomb and the Tiramisu. Such good desserts! We will absolutely go back!
