First off I would highly recommend grabbing the $25 gift certificates
from restaurant.com at 80% which they usually are. What a deal.
They cost me $3.00 each for $25 (must spend $35).
So each meal was $13 plus tip, which they include when you use
the certificates. Our first visit was at lunch time, with no wait at all.
We gave the waitress the certificate as we ordered and she just
mentioned to get at least $35 worth of food/drinks. So we
ordered the voodoo shrimp. Much better than expected, the corn
bread was great and the six large shrimp swam in a mystery sauce.
Maybe Scooby & Shaggy could hop in the mystery van and get on that.
It was very good. My wife ordered a cheeseburger which she really
enjoyed and I had the smokehouse burger with BBQ on the side
cooked Medium. Guess what came on the burger,
thats right, the friggin BBQ sauce. Guess what was cooked medium well.
Thats right, my burger. Still juicy some how, so that was a good thing.
The waitress noticed that they forgot to put the BBQ sauce on the
side as I already inhaled half of it. She wanted to remake it, but it was good
so there was no need. We were happy with the food and as we decided
to come back later in the week there was a table top sign mentioning
happy hour from 3-5pm and 10pm to close, all appetizers half off.
So I asked the waitress if the certificate was good for the happy hour
and was told YES. All right. Guess what were getting.........

Yes I know it looks like a TON of food, especially for only two of us.
BUT it was appetizers that were also our meals. Plus remember
that we NEEDED to order $35 worth of food. Man that was tough.
Happy hour allowed us to try everything almost.
When they brought out everything at once they
also brought out a extra table to put it all on.
Now were pigs.
We reordered TWO of the shrimp since it was so good.
Good thing we each had our own this time. No knife fights.
The catfish fries I was iffy on, but sure glad we got them.
I was blown away, they were fresh & hot very tasty. Perfectly seasoned.
They were also severed on a bed of sweet potato fries.
We liked them, but only to taste it. Didn't want to fill up.
Next was the buffalo wings. Crispy with a mild sauce which was
excellent. Polished all these quickly.
The pepperoni pizza was the biggest surprise. I didn't think it was
possible to get a pizza tasty in Disney other than Pucks.
My wife wanted the gumbo. I am not a big fan so I tried a spoon
for science sake. Not bad, but no thanks. She loved it, so thats
a good sign.
Like there was room any room left for dessert, I see the
white chocolate bread pudding with ice cream on the menu.
Now I'm thinking, bread pudding from O'hanas. Then I'm thinking hell
ya. I make some adjustments internally and muster up the audacity to order
it after all we and the appetizers been through. It finally arrives. Looks
great. Smells even better. Tastes like......... go watch the VIDEO
Sorry I got to go snow blow, so more to come later tonight or tomorrow.
Don't pout or throw a hissy fit. Be brave and savor what you have now.

Videos are great. I think perhaps it was the video that has attempted to sell me on the bread pudding from HOB. Is it really AS good as Ohanas?

I am an avid Grocery Gamer (www.grocerygame.com) and it is a way of life to use coupons or deals to pay as little as possible for food! I have made entire meals for no more than one or two dollars out of pocket (including real meat even) in my heyday so I take it very seriously. I do this of course so I can save on groceries and go to Disney!
The only time I pay "retail" for food is at Disney.. and I feel bad the entire time, because after four years of paying pennies on the dollar for food, paying inflated prices actually hurts!
I have a point...obviously it is an addiction for me, so and if I can score HOB at Restaurant.com it will make the trip!

You could get FREE food at Disney though.... fixing bars, ketchup packs,
ice water,peanut butter cups at roaring forks,
all the left overs in the trash bins and on the tables.
Think about it.......
There are not nearly enough naked people in them
Plus think of all the real dancing bananas hanging about....
hopefully they are trimmed.

We LOVED all the cupcakes except for the butterfinger.
Way to sweet, but not in a good way. Plus they keep the cake
in the fridge and thats not conclusive for having a tasty moist cake.
Also the frosting was to lardy flavored as well.
The other cupcakes were outstanding and highly recommended.
If you do not try all of them your doing yourself and ME a
huge disservice and I will not forgive you. So don't let me down.
