Mmm tempting... I have an older version of the complete US/Canada map which is quite buggy. If I knew this would be better I'd get it.

We got the USA map last year on the offer they had. For anyone thinking of getting it, it's well worth it, has all the WDW hotels and theme parks pre-loaded into it, plus many other useful places too - wish we had it some years ago, would have saved so many rows over my non-existent map reading skills.

Can I hijack this thread for some help please

I've bought & downloaded the SE USA maps onto my Tom Tom One (version3). When I connect Tom Tom to my lap-top and check 'device' it does list as being loaded.

Now for the silly questions-how do I know they're definetly there?

Is there any way I can 'look' at them before we go?

(New to this can you tell-just bought the Tom Tom as I thought it would be cheaper than a divorce -we too have 'navigation' issues!)

I've bought & downloaded the SE USA maps onto my Tom Tom One (version3). When I connect Tom Tom to my lap-top and check 'device' it does list as being loaded.

Now for the silly questions-how do I know they're definetly there?

Not sure of the TomTom One layout but on my hard drive TomTom 910 the sequence is CHANGE PREFERENCES - MANAGE MAPS - SWITCH MAPS - (SELECT NEW MAP)


Did you download the new map directly to you PC? If so you will need to copy this to an SD card and then swap this with the SD card that contains the UK maps in your TomTom, and then try the above sequence.

I have just read that TomTom One UK v3 only has 500MB of non-expandable memory. I think that the south east US map which is around 240mb may have filled up all of your TomTom available memory

Did you use TomTom Home 2 for your download via purchase maps ?

I bought (downloaded) the TomTom Homer Simpson voice as a surprise for the kids when we get there. It works on all the Maps, UK and USA.

I used it on the way to work the other day - cheered me up!

I shouldn't have a prob with enough memory I checked before downloading (as reccommended by TomTom). I'll have another play.
