Tomorrow's the big day

Thanks to Webmaster Pete for allowing me to post this:

"The Giraffe Who Was Afraid of Heights" will officially be released tomorrow. I've already had a pre-release book signing that went very well and the book is already getting much positive reaction. My publisher is busy sending out copies for review and awards, so let's keep our fingers crossed.

I had a book signing last Saturday at my local book store that went very well and has already led to another scheduled signing. The official release party will be on August 12, 2006 at my local Barnes and Noble in Clearwater, Florida. I'd love to meet some fellow DIS'ers and sign my books for you.

It will be available in stores and online. This whole publishing/selling is very strange to me. I guess the stores will order some copies when the book sells a certain amount or when enough people ask for it. That's my take on it anyway. My publisher is working very hard for this book and all the others in their catalog, so I'm not too worried. I'm beating the pavement also. And I thought the writing was the hard part.
