We ventured out to the Magic Kingdom yesterday to have lunch at Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. We arrived at the Noodle Station just as it was opening. DH and DD were with me. DH had an egg roll and the Chicken Stir Fry with Lo Mein Noodles. I had pot stickers and the Shrimp Pad Thai. DD had the kids noodle soup. We all shared a Ginger Crème Brulee for dessert. Not that we needed it! The portions were HUGE. We definitely did not need the appetizers either, but in the interest of writing a thorough review, I felt we must try them ;-).

In addition to the overhead menu, there was a sandwich board which offered two additional selections (one was teriyaki chicken and vegetables served over rice) and a hot dog (for your picky eater). There was a condiment area loaded with standard Asian accoutrements, soy sauce, and duck sauce, as well as hot dog fixins.

The egg roll seemed to be the same as the cart in Adventureland. Very large with thick egg roll skin. The filling was standard cabbage, carrots, and I think pork. Cooked well and not too mushy inside. DH gave it a thumbs up. The Potstickers were okay. Pork and green onion filled, they were deep fried and very crispy. They came with a hoisin dipping sauce. The dipping sauce went well with the egg roll as well. In fact dipping the egg roll in the hoisin made it taste a lot like MuShu. (The Chinese Dish, not the Dragon, I don’t do that Dragon thing)

DH’s Chicken Stir Fry with LoMein was delicious. All three of us loved this one. The chicken was very tender. The vegetables very crisp, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The sauce was a on the sticky sweet side.

My Shrimp Pad Thai was decent. The shrimp were very tender, but the noodles were a bit overdone. It was not as spicy as I would have liked, and cashews are used whole in place of the crushed peanuts normally associated with Pad Thai. There was lots of fresh cilantro, and it was served with a juicy lime wedge.

DD’s noodle soup was chock full of noodles, but also chock full of onions. DH loved the soup, but it was too pungent for DD. All the onions floating on top probably didn’t help matters! She absolutely loved DH’s Chicken Stir Fry, which was the clear winner of the day. In fact, we all dug in to his bowl, and he still had plenty left when our tummies were full!

We shared a blackberry jasmine iced tea, which was incredible refreshing. Although the same price as a large soda, it was served in a smaller, reusable plastic cup. For dessert, the crème Brulee was a generous portion. The texture of the custard was a little curdled, but still very creamy, and the ‘Brule’ part was the perfect consistency. Light enough to crack, and dense enough to crunch just a little bit in your mouth. The folks sitting next to us had chocolate cakes on their tray, and while I didn’t get one this time, I may have to save room next time. It was an individual round piece of chocolate cake with a large dollop of frosting or chocolate mousse. Perched on top was a fortune cookie. It was a lovely presentation, that really made me want one.

We would definitely go back, and being locals, we can. I’m thrilled to have this choice now for counter service dining. Three of us dined for $30 and change, we had a spectacular view of the Castle, and we were more than full.

Where exactly in Tomorrowland is this located?!? I am trying to conjure Tomorrowland in my head and can't for the life of me figure out where this could be!!

Thanks!

It used to be the Plaza Pavillion. The restaurant area on the right side of the bridge heading into tomorrowland.

It's tucked in between Main Street and Tomorrowland. If you turn the corner on Main Street walking past Plaza Restaraunt and Ice Cream Shop, it will be your next stop after the rest rooms.

Thank you for that fabulous review. I can't wait to try it out. You are making me hungry :earsboy:

It sounds fabulous, and the pictures make the food look great, but I do have a question. You said your Pad Thai had lots of cilantro on it, and in the pictures it looks like the chicken stir fry did too. Is that cilantro on the stir fry? The reason I ask is that I HATE cilantro with an absolute passion, so if we eat there, I want to know so I can ask for it to be left off my dish. Thanks!

I'll be eating there in a little over 48 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yummy yummy! Thanks for the pictures. Can't wait to try it! (Heck we used to happily eat there when it was Plaza Pavillion).

Pretty sure that was cilantro too. I didn't taste his until he worked past the greens on top, but he thinks it was indeed cilantro. Darn it... I may need to go back today or tomorrow to check for you ;)

I ate at the Noodle Station on Monday night. The Shrimp Pad Thai was more than enough for my husband and I to split. It was served in a big stryofoam bowl so it was easy for us to eat at the same time. We actually ate the last half of the bowl on Main Street while watching the parade. It was easy to pass the big bowl back and forth. I loved the cilantro in it but wished it was a little more spicy. I wonder if they have some hot sauce that you can add. I completely missed the fixin's bar. Overall, I thought the dish was quite tasty, especially for the price. It was $7.99, which does sound a little high for counterservice but not when you split between two people. We had the jasmine blackberry green tea and creme brulee as well. The tea was pricy for such a small serving, but very good. I liked the taste of the creme brulee, but it was a little too cold for my liking. I only wished that I had seen the board offering a kids' hot dog. I thought my kids would eat the creme brulee, but they did not.

We will definitely return to the Noodle Station. It's such a nice change from the usual counterservice fare. We also often cut through the Tomorrowland Terrace when going from Main Street to Tomorrowland.

What a great idea! I didn't even know they had changed the Plaza Pavillion!

I hope they do get some hot sauce in. Thai food is supposed to be SPICY!

Woo Hoo! Sounds like a winner, especially for my DD7 the noodle queen. Do they have lo mein?

Now I won't have to drag DH and DDs to Epcot a bunch of times for this type of food. I am not a burger person, so I'm very excited to try this. Of course, it would be wonderful if they put one of these in MGM, so there'd be some edible food there. I do have a question, though. You mentioned that your entire meal totalled about 30. Do you recall approx how much each item you ordered costs? We would probably skip the desert, and maybe split an appetizer and drinks. I'm just wondering how the prices compare to the meals in Epcot, like the Lotus Blossom costs 8-9 for a platter.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks, and if your "research" yields any more info on the cilantro situation, let me know. (And, hey, could you check out a few rides and shows for us, too? We're going to be there in May and we want to be sure all the fun and magic of the MK is still there. Thanks for all your trouble! :rotfl: )

Thanks for the great review! I will definitely have to try this place in May!

Thank you soooooooo much for the detailed review. I can't wait to try it! And I LOVE cilantro too.

Isn't there a new counter service scheduled to open at Studios with gyros and mediterranean food?
