Does anyone have pictures of the view from the terrace when watching the Fireworks? I was just wondering what it was like, especially with the constructions. Thank you!

The construction should only be very peripheral to Wishes, if at all.

We went last year and the view depended on how close to the rail you stood.

I was very disappointed that people didn't stay sitting at their tables to watch. It was like a cattle rush!

But, from the rail it was beautiful.

There is enough room at the rails, and you are encouraged to go to the rails. Most tables in the back would not be able to see the fireworks if they didn't more.

Since the fireworks start at night and you look up to view them I would assume the construction would not matter.

We have done the firework desert party many times and always book it.

Enjoy

Right, you are too far above the construction for it to be in the way of viewing Wishes from the Desert Party.

The thing I was most disappointed about is the view itself. It's not a prime spot at all. It's off the the side and you view from an angle. The fireworks that use the castle as the center piece are off center. For a view I pay for I expected better. And yes, I did realize the view when I booked it but we gave it a shot anyway just to see if I was right or wrong in my opinion. I wasn't. And while our table was on the outside row we had to stand too since all the others stood in front of our table. I wouldn't ever pay for it unless you are there at a time where it's incredibly crowded. If i have to stand anyway I'd rather watch for free.

You can get the same exact view for free right below the Terrace if you stand on the bridge to Tomorrow Land, right by the entrance to Walt's Rose Garden.

I have debated off and on if I want to pay the extra price to attend this party. But then again it is a hard to reserve thing, can't ever get any dates in my vacation time.

Your opinion is making me think really hard about our upcoming trip's reservations. I secured two, one for Saturday the 22nd and one for the last night of our trip, Tuesday the 25th. My thinking for the Saturday is that it will probably be really crowded with it being 1) a Saturday and 2) open until 2AM that I definitely should keep this one so we won't have to fight the crowds. But, I'm torn about the 2nd ressie. It being a Tuesday, I'm thinking we should be OK crowd-wise, but I think how nice it would be to end our trip on a stress-free (not having to fight whatever crowds there are for a spot) note. But, I wonder if I won't miss the better vantage point that another spot could give us...
What do you think?:scratchin

It's become a tradition for us to do the party on our last night. However, we always watch Wishes at least once from Main Street so we get the full-on view. It's a relaxing way to see the fireworks, and the desserts are nice. Even though you can move to the railing, people really don't start to do so until about 15 minutes before, so there's plenty of time to sit and relax, and there's not anyone standing in front of you to block your view. It's a pleasant experience, but I would try to watch it from Main Street, too, to get the full effect of the fireworks.

Would you give up the Saturday reservation or the Tuesday one?

To the OP, take a look at this for a review of the view:http://www.easywdw.com/uncategorized/wishes-dessert-party-review-is-it-worth-it/

and this is a really good thread that shows pictures of the view:

We are doing this on our last night at Disney. We'll have watched Wishes on our first night, and then again mid-week, so this will be our 3rd time during the trip, and we are quite content to not have a prime location to view, but rather a more relaxing fun area to watch what we can from. :)
