Do you know any family recipes or food combinations that don't sound very appetizing but actually taste pretty good? Just wondering.

My mother used to make tomato soup cake. It tasted just like a spice cake. Very good.

A friend of my Mother used to always make mashed potatoes with sour cream and spinach. I thought I would die on the first bite but ended up loving that dish!!!

I make tomato soup cake all the time....it's a really nice spice cake and I always add raisins and sometimes cream cheese icing.

Try a toasted bagel with cream cheese, bacon and.....jelly! Really good, though I haven't had one in years!

Pumpkin soup has been a family tradition on Thanksgiving for quite some time now......my in-laws all thought eewwww...but guess what...I have to make a big pot and bring it with me or they won't let me in (LOL)
