Tom Brady.... meh....

Ya know 4 Super Bowl wins, 7' appearances, one possible more win. He could look, like Quasimodo for all I care.

He's a nice looking fellow but he's not "all that". Why does everyone think he is?

He is successful and famous (and rich) if he was your buddies boyfriend you would probably think he was ok looking, handsome maybe? But not swoon worthy.
Take Jason bateman or Paul Rudd: not exactly Dex symbols but being rich and famous makes them automatically sexier than we would consider them if they were just accountants

I'm a New Englander - Brady's looks are OK, but he lost me when he wore Uggs and did that creepy/kinky mattress commercial. He's a great QB, seems to be a good family man, and seems to be a team player.

It's just a hunch, but I think he was extra emotional after the game because of his mother. She's been sick for two years and this year she didn't make it to any of his games, they weren't even sure she was going to make it to this one. Seeing her with him during the celebration, she was wearing a bandana, so likely she is getting chemo. I'm sure it was a very emotional moment for him to realize how fortunate they all were that she was there while he was getting so many honors, on a night so special for him. It made me tear up a little myself. :goodvibes He also had his daughter and two sons up with him on the podium. :thumbsup2

I totally teared up. Imagine all of the weight on his shoulders between his mom and this whole suspension thing. What sweet vindication! And how great to win another for his mom!

And we were discussing here, it's like, a few seconds earlier, the adrenaline was pumping overtime! Then it's over and you have that (pardon the quotation marks) "let down" - it's like opposite extremes, so fast, and with so many people watching. Even his teammates and coach got concerned for a second, they weren't sure what was going on with him. But then he stood up and he was ok! Very emotional, I can't imagine!

well I was never a Brady/N.E. fan...and like them even less now

Just a curiosity question. Why does them winning make you like them less? They came back from a 25 point deficit.

Brady did a great job with his kids after the game - they looked comfortable in the setting, and he didn't seem to push them to do anything. I loved how his younger son would just pop up on the platform, waving.

If you are a football fan or even appreciate/understand the game, even if you don't like him as a player or individual person, you can understand why he is "all that". There are very few quarterbacks who can consistently do what he does. Ever watch him drive the ball down the field 3 possessions in a row in less than 5 minutes to come back and win the game? There are very few QB's that can do that. He does it consistently every season. It helps that he has a good O-line, but even a good o-line can't do it themselves, and honestly, the Patriots offense isn't even usually ranked the best. I've only know of about 5 NFL QB's ever, that could do what Brady does on a consistent basis. Maybe even less.

I don't rate football players by their looks, so I can't help you there.

ETA: And I don't even "like" quarterbacks....I have much more respect, as a whole, for the no-glory, no-shining-star, down in the trenches every play, linemen. I tend to watch the line on a play more than who is throwing or catching the ball. Gives a whole 'nother view to the game.

Nothing more needs to be said!

When he shown kneeling with his head down? Yeah it looked like he was just so overcome with the weight he'd been holding.
Between his family issues and all the deflategate stuff, he's really been dealing with a lot. The pressure he was under both from the outside and what he seems to put on himself must have been crushing.

I am not a Brady fan at all. I am a Buffalo Bills fan so it goes with the territory. I also can't stand the Pats because of there cheating ways that said I do have respect for him and the way he can bring his team back from total destruction.

Ok people, I'm going to let you in on a not so secret secret- Brady's back up quarterback is extremely handsome and appears to be nice as well as humble and talented. Look up Jimmy Garappolo- you're welcome!

Yes! Thank you! Thank you very much!

Just wondering where you saw she had breast cancer? I know the media keeps saying undisclosed illness. Praying she makes a full recovery from whatever kind it might be.

Buffalo Bills: 22 incidents
Patriots: 26 incidents
Denver: 53 incidents

Neither NE or the Bills are at the top of the "cheating" pile. But they are pretty darn close to each other in # of reported incidents - not all of which actually ended up being "cheating".
