He's a nice looking fellow but he's not "all that". Why does everyone think he is?

ETA - I am talking about all of the women swooning for him and not his prowess on the field. So his football skills don't factor in to this. Except that maybe without the football skills, no one would pay attention to him anyway.

I live in Houston so football and the Super Bowl is all anyone is talking about here.

I have no idea. He does nothing for me. He is to much of a "pretty boy".

If you are a football fan or even appreciate/understand the game, even if you don't like him as a player or individual person, you can understand why he is "all that". There are very few quarterbacks who can consistently do what he does. Ever watch him drive the ball down the field 3 possessions in a row in less than 5 minutes to come back and win the game? There are very few QB's that can do that. He does it consistently every season. It helps that he has a good O-line, but even a good o-line can't do it themselves, and honestly, the Patriots offense isn't even usually ranked the best. I've only know of about 5 NFL QB's ever, that could do what Brady does on a consistent basis. Maybe even less.

I don't rate football players by their looks, so I can't help you there.

ETA: And I don't even "like" quarterbacks....I have much more respect, as a whole, for the no-glory, no-shining-star, down in the trenches every play, linemen. I tend to watch the line on a play more than who is throwing or catching the ball. Gives a whole 'nother view to the game.

He's the "All American" football player. He's not my type but I think he's very handsome. I can see the attraction. He has that chiseled look. But other than that he's an awesome quarterback....probably the best to ever play. And that's coming from an Eagles fan.

I just saw a clip of him when a kid asked him who his hero was. He kind of got choked up when he said his dad. Made me like him a little more.

He seems to set high standards for himself and works towards achieving them. He makes no excuses....bad game...he admits it and moves on. He also tends to take the high road...never badmouthing people or complaining and whining like some of these athletes do. I personally feel he is a man of substance and character which, unfortunately, we tend not to see in so many of today's athletes.

I'm a straight male and I can still admit he's a good looking guy, certainly better looking than most of the slobs I see on a daily basis.

Different strokes. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing.

I am a big football fan & understand the position. It's his personality that I'm not a fan of.

As far as the Patriots offense, they looked pretty good early in the season without him. Most quarterbacks starting for other teams would look really good in the Patriots system with the players they have. That said, he has been the quarterback behind the center for the Pats championships. I can understand why Pats fans would love him. I can also understand why others don't care for him & it has nothing to do with jealousy. He just doesn't come off as a very likable person to me.

Didn't he leave his first wife when she was pregnant?

No, he didn't. They were not married. IIR he and his ex-girlfriend were past the breakup process, and he was already dating Gisele, when she found out she was pregnant. He's been a great dad to that child by all reports.
