Just looking for the most recent info. We are landing at Tampa, heading to Clearwater Beach for a few days, then heading to WDW. The car rental company just sent me an email saying I am going to need to rent a Pass24 from them to get through the cashless toll booths. Does anyone know if this is necessary? Am I going to encounter any cashless tolls along my route?
Thanks!

no tolls, cash or cashless, on the specific route you mention except the CrossTown expressway in Tampa and there is NO reason for you to get on it ... CrossTown IS cashless only, but this includes charge by photo of plate which IS where some rental companies ZAP you. But I repeat, unless you get lost you should not get NEAR the CrossTown . . .

different rental companies handle the option of cashless tolls in Florida differently. Good information can be found at:

Thanks so much. We have a pretty good handle on the central Florida area all the way down to West Palm Beach as we drive it often, but we've never done the drive from the west coast
