ITA!!!!! This is exactly what I don't get. How is kiddie make-up and hair ext.s
with plastic Mickeys in them spoiling you? I know, it must be that .50 sash, right? I mean, kinda like Miss America, right? Let's not forget the diva sparkle face stickers.
Guilty? I dunno. But if you're sitting in there with 7 other people under 10, and there is any number of children outside in the waiting area/store, I'd think you'd feel a little out of place getting your glitter stickers on?
Isn't the whole point in vacationing at Disney World so you can be able to wear silly hats and t shirts and get fake tattoos or your hair braided no matter how old you are?

You said it!!!!!!
What these women have failed to understand is a lot of little girl's mothers probably never heard of BBB, so when they just happen to be at WOD, they stumble upon it and ask if they can get it done. But they unfortunately cannot. You see, all these people have made ressies months in advance. So when someone says, "I'm not taking a little girl's place." Well, you just might be.

This isnt a 'real' makeover hair/nail treatment that they do. Go to a Libby Lue and get the same thing (For $35 youll get a purse and stuffed animal too), If this is really that appealing to adults w/o little ones sharing the experience, then I imagine Libby Lue will be growing rapidly and I should look into their stock.
I am a little shocked that grown women would throw out the 'I deserve this as much as the next boy or girl line.' I bet your the one's hogging the swings and teeter totters at the park too!![]()

Uhh, no? I've never in my life had the desire to do any of those things and I've been a regular visitor since 3 months old. It's something you could do, but I don't think Walt was sitting there saying, "Hmm .. I need to make a place where people can get string braided into their hair, fake tattoos, and wear tacky shirts and hats.
It amazes me that anyone *wouldn't* feel guilty for having some sort of advantage over the little ones. I'm the kind person that will scoot over to make room on the parade route for a kid to squeeze in or allow them to sit in front.
Disney is supposed to be about "magic" and friendliness. .. a place for EVERYONE to be happy. I can't imagine this "tough luck kid!" attitude and this "me! me! me!" attitude is what Walt intended.
NOW I see where the argument came from. Not from the people just voicing their opinion, but from the ones trying to lay GUILT trips.
I would not do BBB on my own, I am doing it with my little one, and only because she asked me to. If I saw a little sad girl when we went in, who could not get in, I would certainly give her my appointment. I know my DD and she would not be disappointed if I told her we were doing something nice for another child.
But listen, to try and make people feel guilty? Please. You can lay a guilt trip about anything people do that is not a basic need.
Oh, you bought a new car when your old one ran just fine? You could have given that money to Make A Wish and they could have taken a dying child to Disney.
You bought new shoes? Jeez, for just a dollar a day, you could feed a child in Africa.
You spent $500 on V&A's? Shame on you.....you could have donated that money to AIDS research so others could live.
We made a ressie for the Chef's Table at V&A's. Should we feel guilty about because there may be a couple celebrating their 50th anniversary who will not get to go? Even though DH and I have not been to dinner alone in 2 years?
I am the queen of guilt trips. If there is a way to feel guilty about something, I will. However, I do resent others trying to make me feel bad. Should I feel guilty that Sunday I am leaving on a 4 day cruise alone with my cousin?? Maybe. But I take my kids to WDW twice a year, spend every waking moment with them and my DH when he is not at work. Hell, I even work at home. So while it has been hard, I am brushing off that guilt trip.
Maybe some of the women on here who want to feel like a kid and go to BBB just finished a year of chemo, or takes care of an elderly parent(which is NOT easy), or are the one responsible for everything at home and just want to let go. It is not my job to judge them or try to make them feel guilty. They called, they made their appointment and they are willing to pay their $$.
So I say have a great time at the BBB!![]()
