Do you think it would be appropriate to book for my 11, 13, and 15 year old DDs? We've been to WDW twice since BBB opened and my girls wander over and look at it longingly, but it's usually filled with younger girls. I think they would love it. From what I've been reading here seems like it might be ok for the three of them. What do you think?

I would book it for them . My DD13 is not a girly girl but had a great time getting done up for her MNSSHP .

I agree with you. My DD13 is not what she calls "pink" at all but she had a blast doing it, too, and had the same style your DD did. We did it before MVMCP.

When we had DD13 done in Oct for MNSSHP there was a grpoup of about 6 ladies ranging from 30 to 80 getting done. But there was also a man in his 30/40 getting the CoolDude done as well.

Call back get another CM.

What's the "cool dude"? Is it a service for boys (or men in this case) to do at BBB? Any pics?

I went for a Mom & Me makeover at Libby Lu with my DD on her 3rd bday and we had sooooo much fun! I let her pick and she got me the rockstar make over. I looked so silly but we had so much fun!!!!

We are going back to WDW in Dec and I am booking BBB for me(29) & my sis (34) & my 2 girls (will be 6 & 3). My girls had a makeover there this past Sept for my older dd's 5th bday and loved it so I am booking for my 30th bday. I am so looking forward to it!!!!

Come on, this is WDW! Full grown adults walk around with giant birthday cake hats on their heads! This is the one place you can get away with looking silly in public, so absolutely go for it. The only reason I haven't done it yet is because of the price. Also, I think I'd be just a little too embarrassed to go alone, but if I had a friend go with me, you better believe I'd do it in a heartbeat. I've seen a table of 4 adults at CRT who had all gone to the botique, and they were having a blast.

I'm sorry, but I really dislike the attitude that once you reach a certain age, you are no longer allowed to enjoy the same things without being looked down on.

I agree! DO IT!!! I did it and would do it again! I am 29 and loved it! It did make me feel like a "princess" for the day! I got it done before MVMCP. I was the only adult in there at the time but trust me....if you do it you wont be sorry. I only got hair and makeup and it was $35. That really isnt bad because the hairpiece is $10 plus the clips or barrettes they use....then the makeup (which you get to keep) so I mean you may actually be paying $10 for the hair do when it is all done! Definitely worth it! If you cant be a kid at WDW then why are you there????? Have fun and just go for it!

I think that whomever brought up Libby Lue made a great comparison. Thats the type of mini makeover that you get here. While nobody is going to say anything about an adult looking silly at Disney, I think its meant for the little ones. Their are many adult makeover/spa treatments available, and since this is such a small boutique, I guess I would feel bad if I were an adult going there and it meant a little girl got bumped out of the opportunity.

Then by all means, don't do it. But anyone else who wants to enjoy it should take the opportunity.

As much as I would LOVE to do it, I wouldn't because as said, there's no where else for little girls to go to get this done. If it was a slow season I would do it, but in the busy times I wouldn't because I would feel horrible knowing that I kept some little girl from getting it done. I would also be upset if my daughter wasn't able to get it done to find out that some adult was sitting in the seat. I wouldn't be as upset though if they were doing it with their daughter, however I still don't think this place was intended for adults. I'm not at all afraid of being fun of for looking silly, I would totally get it done if the place was bigger and could serve more people, but they get booked up with the kids as it is, they don't need adults coming in to take the place.

Thanks for your help everyone. Just made reservations for DD(11) and DD(13). DD(15) said she was really torn...she 1/2 wanted to do it and 1/2 didn't because of her age. SHe said to skip her and just book her sisters. I think I'll let her get hair wraps or something else instead!

I totally agree with you. Having visited the BBB, I can't imagine going as an adult. I believe that when Disney opened this up they really meant for kids only. I second a spa treatment instead.

I agree. I can't imagine a grown woman having a blast at the BBB! It is for children not adults. It is hard enough to get an appointment for your child. Hopefully they will really make it so that it is for kids only.

I have read about lots of adults doing this. I guess it is nice to do if you want to satisfy your inner child. I really think that it would be sad if a little girl could not get in for an appt. because an adult had the time slot. After all - I would love for my daughter to come have her nails done or a mini facial at a spa but no kids are allowed at spas... right? It would be nice to leave BBB just for the kids - more special for them that way, I think. Alternatively - I could see offering it to adults on a walk in basis if there are openings. This way kids would have had the first shot at the appts.

Depending upon her age, there are children's facials, manicures and pedicures available at the Spa at SSR. You must accompany her to the treatments, but that is all. Like all treatments at SSR it is "pricey" but what at WDW isn't?

I didn't want to take a pic since I didn't know the man30s/40s and boy around 10/12 getting it done.

They used a colored dye gel and put flames on their head in different colors then a few Mickey head stamps and some glitter.

It was real cool and if not as crowded as it was or we had an ADR I would have had it done as well.
AngieBell I'm right there with you Disney knows no age boundries and we had no problem getting an Appt. a few days in advance on a very busy end of Oct time.

Oh, I have seen entire bridal parties walking around with BBB sashes. They will not turn adults away.:wizard:

So first of all....I did this so I take a little offense to all of these comments! I am sorry but there is absolutely nothing wrong with an adult wanting to get this done. By saying this is not for adults you are basically defeating the idea Walt Disney had put in place. Disney is a place for adults to come and be kids and if we cant enjoy the same things kids do then why not make WDW for kids only? Are the rides in Fantasyland for kids only??? I booked my reservation just like everyone else, as a matter of fact I only booked it one week before I went giving people the opportunity to my reservation. My thoughts are to make sure you make a reservation just like everyone else. I am all about being a big kid because WDW is the only time I get to do it. So I say if you are an adult that wants to do the kid things then do it!!!! There is no reason to not get in if you make a reservation ahead of time. Now, if you think you can walk up and get in then that is no ones fault but your own. I dont go to Disney to be an adult!! I go to be a kid!!! I will probably do it again when I go back! Sorry if this came off a little rude but please think about this.... if you dont go to WDW to be a kid then dont go! I did it with my little cousin and she was so excited I did it with her! And the adults that were in there were having just as much fun! Just wanted to share my thoughts too since everyone else did!

I think it's fine if adults want to do it.. I think it *probably* wasn't what WDW brass expected when they opened it, however, i am sure it is welcomed.
Part of me would love to do it -- but part of me would feel somewhat like i was taking the spotlight off my dd for the time, But, if she WANTED me to do it with her, i definately would.. LOL

I am gonna have to look into the spa at SSR, can moms and dd's do a pedi/mani together?

My DD17 and DM had pedi/mani together. I think you'd get a better choice of times if you book early, but we went Christmas week and they were still able to get a booking for SSR's spa (however, no massage appointments were available).

I do a lot of silly things at WDW, wear silly hats and don my LGMHs, but I doubt I'd ever get that big a kick out of a BBB visit and 'do. Just me. Think it's great for the wee ones, or anyone else who wants that sort of thing.

I do book way ahead for my DD. I still find it hard to believe an adult would want to do this. It is nothing that an adult would be excited about. They barely do anything. I would rather go to a spa and have something nice instead of coming out with a wacky hair job! To each his or her own! LOL!

I have bee away for a while. Please tell me what Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is all about. Also tell me, would it be fun for 4, more mature ladies on a girlfriends vacation?

I'm surprised at all the adults that say they've gone. I'm not a woman, but it is definitely a kid's atmosphere. I'd feel a little weird being in there.

I am sorry, but I think you are rude! When I called I was told that it was for anyone that wants to do it and they don't turn anyone away. I had a blast when I went on Dec.7, I did right before we went to MVMCP! I would did again in a heart beat and all of the adult & kid guests were asking me where I got it done and how much. Disney World is place for everyone to be a kid again! And am sorry but I don't think Disney will make anything that is kids only or adult onlys.
