The attraction for adults is having fun and feeling like a kid or a princess! I will do it again! When I called they clearly stated it is for anyone...boys, girls, women, men...whomever wishes to have it done! I dont know of any treatment I can get at one of the spas for $35 which is what I paid for this! I went during peak season and did not have a hard time to get an appointment a week before on a weekend. I think all the women on here complaining about it are maybe too "adult" to enjoy it...therefore it would not be something for you! However, I myself like to enjoy neverland whenever I can and if I can go get my hair done crazy, be treated like a princess and have fun with it...I will do it! I deserve the treatment just as much as the next person or girl! I am sorry if I got an appointment that could have otherwise went to a girl but that is the way it goes. I guess it would be the same as getting a reservation for the storybook princess breakfast at EPCOT and it just being me and my mother (2 adults) when it could have been a childs reservation. So am I supposed to feel bad about every reservation I make? Because I can tell you I go to WDW as a big kid with my mother or friends (because I dont have kids) and we want to do the same things. I go to Disney to get the Disney treatment whether I have kids or not. My passion for Disney is probably stronger than half the kids that go. I dont want to do the "adult" things because it does not feel like Disney to me. That is fine for those of you that want to be grown up even at Disney but for me and many others, being a kid at WDW is what we want to do and should not be criticized for it.

Well said! I am right there with you!

WOW....

As an adult who went to the BBB
have to say i had a ball....and so did all my bridesmaids..
It was one of the best events of our disney wedding weekend
and the pictures are priceless....

For anyone saying that adults doing BBB is taking away from a child's experience or possibly taking their available appointments are the same parents that think coming to parades as soon as it starts should be able to push their way through the crowd because their child can't see. If this is an experience you want....book in advance!!

Wow - pretty wide paintbrush you have there. I guess I need to go have a baby so I can push it up in front now at parades now.

This isnt a 'real' makeover hair/nail treatment that they do. Go to a Libby Lue and get the same thing (For $35 youll get a purse and stuffed animal too), If this is really that appealing to adults w/o little ones sharing the experience, then I imagine Libby Lue will be growing rapidly and I should look into their stock.

I am a little shocked that grown women would throw out the 'I deserve this as much as the next boy or girl line.' I bet your the one's hogging the swings and teeter totters at the park too! :rotfl:

I'll throw in my $.02

One doesn't have anything to do with the other. Why would you think a parent who wants a magical experience for her daughter in a Little Girl's Salon would be pushy during a parade. I'm not the one thinking I can act anyway I please, anywhere I please...it's owed to me, I deserve it, I wanna be a kid, whah, whah, whah!

Let's see how long it will be before this one gets locked...with all the hash slinging going on, it shouldn't be too long.

By the way, Elder Princesses, I'm NOT criticizing, just think it's funny. I'm sure you do, too!

Oh yeah...that is me...kicking the kids off the swings at the park! Come on now...dont you think that now you are over reacting? PLEASE!!! I do deserve it and will do it again and I dont care what you all think. It was an awesome experience and being a kid AT WDW is something I will always be, since here in the real world I have to be an adult. Why dont you guys complain some more about women trying to have fun. This is ridiculous and the ones being "adult" are acting childish. Great...you have your opinion...and we know that the BBB is too childish for you....but leave us alone that want to do it. I made my reservation like everyone else and had just as much fun as the five year old next to me. There is nothing wrong with that and if Disney wanted to make this only for kids they would, until then adults are welcome and treated just like the kids. I treat kids very well...I am a first grade teacher and would never treat them the way you guys are acting!

I like orljustin's attitude on this. I am going because my little one wants to do it with mom. If there was a little person at the check-in desk looking forlorn because she cannot get a makeover.....would I give her my appointment? Of COURSE I would. I would talk to my DD and tell her the girl was sad and my DD would happily agree to just having me watch so another little girl could get in.

I called 2 days ago to see if I could get in with my daughter on 2/8. The CM did not seem like it was so booked she wasn't sure. She actually said "sure!" before she even asked what date or time.

But I do understand that some people may not see the draw of the BBB to an adult. It is like anything else.....some people would like it, some people wouldn't. Matter of preference. Long posts about why you would do it is not going to change anyone's mind.

Like skiiing.....I HATE skiing. I live near Buffalo. I tried skiing, was actually really good at it. My nose ran, I was cold, and I did not enjoy it. Now, people who love to ski could go on and on about why they like skiing. Won't make me like it. THey can argue with me all they want. I will still dislike skiing. Just the way it is.

So, I think the arguing about whether or not an adult should want to go there is kind of pointless.

As orljustin said....the people who don't want to go still won't and the people who DO want to go won't care what people think and will go anyway.

By the by, I also stand in line for characters when DH and I have no kids with us. Which I guess could be construed as taking away a character experience from a kid. We also book character meals for just us too.

We are baddies. ;)

I really dont understand your tone. I would have expected more from a 1st grade teacher. I would think that would give you plenty of opportunity to act like a kid the rest of the year and leave a seat for one of the wee ones in your charge.

Nobody *deserves* anything except food, shelter, and all those necessities of life. Let's get our priorities in check here - it's a want. You can want it just like the 5 year old in the next seat wants it, but it's not something anyone (even the kids) is "entitled" to. It's a luxury.

PLEASE, please ... let's dwell on the positive rather than the negative here, okay? I've got enough stress in my life to have to find stress anywhere on the DIS! Ya know - Peace, Love & Donny Osmond :hippie: and that kind of stuff? How about we return the focus on how much fun BBB is and to see the "after" photos.

Thanks!

Personally, I'm not interested in getting the BBB treatment. But for all the adults that are...go for it!! Life is too short. Disney is about having fun, and who is to say what is fun for one is fun for all ;)

Same here. I'm not interested in the BBB, but feel anyone who is, should have the same chance to go if they want. All the people that say WDW is 'for the kids' really irritate me. I don't know how many times I've had a kid pushed in front of me at a parade, or in line for the characters, with said parent making the comment that 'WDW is for the kids afterall, I'm sure you don't mind'. These are the same parents who used to get so upset because they couldn't get CRT and couldn't understand why adults would want to go to a character meal (taking the seats away from their poor little darlings). Next you'll have people saying adults shouldn't go on Dumbo because it makes the waits for their little ones too long. For the women who want to do BBB, go for it. Have fun. Walt designed WDW for the kid in all of us.

When I called this morning and asked about it. . .the CM said that she thought it would be WONDEFUL!!!!! That a lot more Moms and little girls are coming in together. We plan to have a GREAT time!!

I'm sure you will both enjoy doing this together.

It's the same theory... People feel entitled that your child has more rights than adults because they are children. If you want your child to have that experience...book in advance. Same goes with watching parades. If you want a good view.... find a spot in advance. Just because you have a child doesn't entitle you to take away from my fun.

Remember that adults have gone to BBB and they were encouraged when called and asked about it...no crying needed

I hope you decide to post your photos here so we can all see you smiling and having fun :)

For the record, a trip to the BBB isn't something I would book for myself. I'd much rather have a nice massage and a facial at the Grand Floridian, BUT I might consider booking it as something fun to do with my little girl, if I had one. However . . .

I can't even believe that people are heatedly discussing this. Disney may not have inteded it for adults, but they do seem to allow adults to book it. So, I'm not sure what the argument is. If you wouldn't enjoy it, don't book it.

If it was a problem, Disney would stop booking adults. For instance, Disney will NOT book an adult on the Pirate Cruise. They don't want them there, so they don't book them. End of story. Obviously, at BBB, they don't really feel it's an issue. It really doesn't seem to be that hard to get an appointment, so I'm not sure what the problem.

I don't really buy the part about taking opportunities away from a child. If we're going to go with that theory, then adults shouldn't be allowed to:
-book character breakfasts, especially Cindy's
-ride Dumbo (After all, that line gets long. Better save it for the kiddies.)
-get front row spots at parades
-stand in line to meet characters (Hey Mickey only stays out so long at a time. Maybe we better make sure adults aren't taking up time that could be spent with kids.)

Like I said, I wouldn't book to for myself, but I really don't think that any of you are up in arms about it have any sort of leg to stand on as far as this one goes.
