Thinking about adding this to our ADR list.
DS, 11 (when we go) LOVES Japan, and sushi, and has dreams of living in Japan one day.
Have you been to this restaurant?
Is it good?
Any tips or recommendations?

I've been to Tokyo Dining three times because I really love it, and I don't even eat sushi. The rest of my family and my boyfriend had good meals (sushi) as well. I'm not sure I have any tips, really- I've never had a problem getting a reservation but I've also never looked for a time during Illuminations. I personally really like the Panko Chicken meal. You actually get quite a bit of food- my boyfriend just got sushi and ate some of my food last time we went, although he was also trying to save some space for the F&W festival.
There's also Teppan Edo, but I've never eaten on that side. Just glancing at the menus it looks like Tokyo Dining has a bigger menu but Teppan Edo is more of an experience.

Thank you!
I like the look of Teppan Edo, but, think it might be too anxiety inducing with a toddler and an ASD child who is scared of the heat of cooking.

We've always liked Tokyo Dining. May not be the best sushi at WDW but it good nevertheless. The atmosphere feels very Japan-like, at least from my limited experience. We usually go at 4pm when dinner first opens as its really dead at that time and you can easily get a window seat, and enjoy a great view second story view of Epcot!

Well, that sounds absolutely perfect for us. That is usually when we get dinner reservations too as it is easier for him to handle the restaurants (he has ASD)
We are not really sushi connoisseurs, so, as long as it is good, and the place feels Japanese, he will be stoked.

My DS8 also loves Japan and the pavilion is typically our first stop on any WDW trip. The pavilion and store are amazing and the service and atmosphere at Tokyo Dining are fantastic! I think your DS will enjoy it!

I really enjoy Tokyo Dining. I don't eat much sushi now and instead order their Roppongi entree (tempura scallop and shrimp). The iced green tea is a nice cool break from pop/soda. They had an incredible green tea cheesecake dessert but looks like recent menu changes have dropped this in favour of a sponge cake. When I check in, I ask for a window table and am prepared to wait 10 mins or so until one opens up. I love the view of Epcot and sometimes can catch the drum show outside in the courtyard. Best wait service in Epcot IMO. Have a great dinner!

Thank you!
It sounds like a positive addition to our itinerary
(although we will have to ditch Akershus for it, which makes getting CRT a MUST)
