Toiletries at Moderates

What are the toiletries like at the moderate resorts? I am not super picky about shampoos and soaps but would like to bring my own if they are really bad quality. Thanks!

They recently upgraded to a better line. I'm going to miss the Mickey soap.

They arent bad quality just really small, really really small.

I just returned from a quick trip to CSR, the toiletries were new and very nice. They are made for the resorts by H2O Plus. The shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion come in plastic containers that hold a little more than one ounce of product. The quality is good, but as Doc CW said, they are small. The soap is wrapped in plastic and has an imprint of Mickey's head on the back of it, cute but very different from the old Mickey soaps in the black wrapper.

I bring my own soap (Amazing Grace, its shower gel and shampoo, wonderful scent). My grandson LOVES Mickey. He is 18 months old and a fanatic (grandma taught him well) so I save the soaps for him. I liked the one in the black wrapper. I think it was Ivory so I knew it was gentle enough for him. We would switch out the shampoo and put in baby shampoo instead.

I was just wondering about the gentleness of the soaps! My DD5 has excema and some soaps tend to irritate her, but if the soaps are gentle then we should be fine :

We stayed at AKL last month and the soap and all was very nice and extremely cute I think i have a photo of it which i can most likely post later

We spent the night of July 13th at Sports and had the old soaps and shampoos. During the remainder of our stay (9 days at POR), we had the new products. I thught this was a little odd.

I just figured the soaps and shampoos were the same at the the resort. We got the same soap and shampoo at ASMo that my MIL and FIL got at the Poly.
I always take my own soap and shampoo though. I have very sensitive skin so I worry that it will irritate my skin.

OP, I see your upcoming trip is at POFQ. When my DSis and I were there in April/May we were provided with a shower bar of soap, a smaller bar of soap for the sinks and a single small bottle of combined shampoo & conditioner. The soaps were round, wrapped in white paper and sealed in celophane. It is made by H2o. The bar soap was OK, and I wouldn't say it was bad quality, but it dried my skin just a little. I didn't use the combined shampoo/conditioner since that just does not work for my hair. I was glad I had brought my own.

A pp said they got lotion, shower gel, and apparently separate shampoo and conditioner at CSR. I'm hoping that when we return to POFQ in 34 days we might get this also and that what we got previously was just during a transitional period, but I'm not going to count on it. I'm bringing my own shampoo, conditioner, and shower soap just in case.
