I know they don't have to buy a park ticket, but I can't remember if we have to pay for them to have a meal, especially if it's a Character meal? I'm budgeting to pay, just wondering if they eat off our plates will they still have to pay as if they had their own?

They need to be on the ADR, but they will eat from your plate. You will not have to pay for them.

Yep! :thumbsup2 Although at buffets the under 3 crowd can get their own plate so they don't have to eat off someone else's. At plated meals, you can ask the server to bring an extra plate for the toddler, then transfer some of your food to the toddler's plate. I have heard of cases where a server will bring a little something just for the toddler and not charge for it, but that isn't a guarantee.

We've only got 3 ADR's, and I believe all of them are Buffets (Not sure about Biergarten but pretty sure it is). 2 are Character meals (H&V and Tusker).

all the Quick Service we can just ask for an extra plate to split ours with him can't we? I know we'll end up buying him his own at some points, the kid can eat more than his older siblings. Lol But like bowls of Mac n Cheese he'll split with one of his sisters with no problem..

I've never been to Biergarten, but I'm fairly certain it's a buffet. At QS places, yes, just ask for an extra plate.

They are all buffets. Biergarten has a kids offering on the buffet, and fresh fruit etc. But of course they can eat anything.

There will be a kids section at each of those restaurants for your little one. I'm a sucker for Disney Mac and cheese, so I've been known to frequent those stations. Enjoy your trip!

If you order anything for your child under the age of three, you may be charged for it.

I agree. If you order a child's meal or a drink for an under 3, you will be charged for it. If they only share with someone else they do not pay

Buffets are great with kids that age. Places like Cape May, Biergarten, Crystal Palace you don't have to pay for the kids meal but they get to eat what they want. Also, at Akershus, they asked here what she wanted (she wanted pizza) and brought her a pizza entree off the kids menu at no charge (not sure if they always do that or if they were just being nice). Family style/buffets were definitely the way to go for us when we were with a 3 and under child.

I would assume so Yes. I wouldn't expect it to be much of any different than any other restaurant in that regards. :) My main question was for the Character meals really, if I would have to pay for him if we just got an extra plate and let him split with his older siblings.. I know for those you mainly pay for the Character experience. Follow on questions referred to Buffet's, followed by the QS which I really was just confirming what I pretty much already figured. QS we will most def end up buying him his own kids meal. :)

At buffets - so most character meals - under 3 can generally get a plate from the buffet without paying.

The Biergarten is definitely a buffet and as my husband will tell you, has great mac and cheese but not on the kids selections (honestly, I don't even remember a kids section as it's just one long time of stations and food is food). Also, if your son likes chicken, that's what I chow down on there and the pieces put Purdue to shame.
