Rather than start a new thread, I thought I would revive this one.

Today on Amazon's Deal of the day you can pick up Corel's Paint Shop Pro photo X2 Ultimate for only 29.99 (it runs about 79.99 - 99.99 at most stores).

I have this program, and am extremely pleased with it. It lets you work with RAW photos, HDR merge, and pretty much anything else that you would want to do.
If you're looking for a great program at an incredible price, this might be what you are looking for.
