To use a travel agent or not?

I think we decided to use a TA, I really don't think that I have the time (with a cranky 2 month old... and cranky 3 year old) to sit on the phone and deal with making all the reservations myself.

Thanks for all the replies, they really helped make our decision. We decided to get quotes from DU and Small Wold and see what they say.

Any opinions on which agency is better? I've heard good things about both of them.

Both are very good agencies and both will be able to get you the same prices
With DU everything is done through email
With Small World you have the option to do everything by email or you will also have a phone number for your agent

It will really come down to whom you feel more comfortable with

I have used Dreams Unlimited for my past two disney trips and will never do a trip without them! My agent, Merrie, is the best. She handles all of my requests and changes quickly and with pleasure. When the disney visa code came out she automatically applied it to my reservation and saved my over $500!
I understand that I could make all of the arrangements myself....but why bother when the cost is the same? The itinerary they give you is outstanding...it lists park hours, parade times, fireworks, etc. I would definitely recommend using them if you are a busy person like myself. I can't be bothered waiting on the phone to make reservations!

And here's my $.02. We used SWV for our last trip and are using them again for the next trip. Our TA, Cheryl, is great! She does everything for us - checks dates and availability, ADR's, prices, magical express, etc. She responds to all my inquiries (and believe me - I have lots!) within minutes.

Just a reminder, it is the policy of the DIS that you are not allowed to mention that you are a travel agent. It may appear to some that you are trying to get business here on the DIS. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
