ME is scaring me-got all my info today except ME tags.
AAA agent called & we were told to go to ME counter & we'll
be taken care of.
After reading posts-I dont like the delay with the bags. Our plane
comes in at 6PM and waiting 5 hours for our bags is a long time.
anyhoooo-
if we go with a service, what is standard tipping proceedures?
TIA- :listen:

Last time I tipped $15 on the way to resort with grocery stop and $10 from the resort to the airport.

I agree that $10-$15 seems to be the normal tip. Please do not tip the first driver something like $20-$30 assuming he/she will be your return driver. We did this once and to our surprise had a different driver on the way back to MCO. Tip the first driver assuming you will not have him/her on the return trip.

I agree...$10-$15 each way. But be careful and read the fine print of your contract...more and more are adding the gratuity to the overall price. We did that with Happy Limo this summer and it was wonderful--no fumbling around for cash; no "hand out" or stalling by the drivers. the add-on gets my vote.IMO you are right to question the delay that may occur with your luggage with ME. We want the security of knowing our bags are right beside us in real-time, not in some black hole for who knows how long!! :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Well, here's an idea.

Ask your driver if he/she is one of the people posting trash about ME. If so, don't tip. LOL! (I am only kidding, but besides the luggage delays several of the other "horror" stories look like trolls to me.)

Also, if you are really worried about luggage it might be good to pack a change of clothes or some PJs in your carry on. I do this when I travel to Europe where it would be a big hassle to go find something to survive in if my luggage was lost. (In the states, I normally have a car and there is always a 24 hours Super Walmart!)

There's usually 3 of us with 3 big bags and 3 back packs when I use Tiffany. On the way to VWL we do a grocery stop and I get 5+bags of groceries. I tip my driver, Jan, $30- . On the way back I give him $20- . You figure you tip the bellhop $1- per bag and your driver is doing more work. I'd rather over tip, than under tip. The extra care, and great treatment we get from him is worth it to me. :flower:
