We have BCV ressies for 8 nights in June 2003 - before we made the ressies I asked some family if they wanted to go and they said no. I just got a call from said family asking if they could still go with us as their previous plans had changed. Well since booking our June vaca I also booked a March getaway for DH and me and Dec vacation - I don't have enough points to Do a 2 bdrm at BCV but can do a 2bdrm at OKW - So the ? is do we switch to a 2bdrm at OKW or keep our ressie at BCV and tell them maybe next year? I do LOVE!!!!!!OKW and love the size of the units and the tropical feel - but I have never stayed at BCV and DD wants to enjoy SAB- WHAT TO DO?

Depends on how much you enjoy having family and friends along! I would opt for the family and change, but that is just me.

I agree with Diane.

While the change might bring some initial disappointment of not staying at BCV, you've got another 39 years to get over there. We don't always have family to go with us, and they may not be able to do it next year.

Here's a third vote to take the family along ... as long as you are fairly confident they won't back out (always a concern with my own family). If you won't be terribly disappointed with putting off BCV, and you will have the opportunity to get there again (perhaps next year), then I say go for the switch. It is always fun to share the magic!

Any additional kids with the family? Your DD may enjoy that more than SAB...at least this time around.

You could always rent some additional points and try to have your family join you at BCV, and keep your current plans, just add additional rooms for them to join in. Perhaps they would be willing to assume the additional cost for point rentals? Shouldn't be that much. They can enjoy SAB with you. You'll love BCV, it's wonderful, and you'll be treating your family to a first class resort that can be very imressive with location, restaraunt choices, transportation options, surrounding amenities, and even the beautiful flower arrangements in the lobby as you first arrive. If it's a matter of a few points difference, rent the extra points and have the best of both options.

We have points at both OKW and BCV. We have stayed at each type unit at OKW and twice at the BCV in one bedrooms. For us, if we take family we prefer OKW because of the room. If there is more than two additional, I would definitely switch to OKW. Both are great and the location of BCV is outstanding.

I have to agree. Switch if you are bringing family along. I have stayed in 2 bedrooms at both places. The extra room at OKW is worth it. The last time we stayed at BCV with another family and you can hardly move around. Someone is always walking in front of the TV and things like that. I like that BCV is close to EPCOT, but the room is worth it. That is my opion anyway. Trips are always more fun with family along. That is if you like them anyway.:jester:

You don't mention where you'll be staying on the other 2 trips. Can you rearrange one of the other trips to stay at BCV?

I vote for renting the points necessary to get a 2 bedroom at the Beach Club.
You could always ask your family to split the cost. They should be agreeable since this is pretty much a "last minute" change on their part.

Thanks all - We have switched to a 2 bdrm at OKW - DD says she'd rather spend time with her older cousin than be able to go to SAB:D
I'm happy because we don't get to see these folks as often since they moved to Houston, TX - and I really LOVE OKW!:)
