to Round 3...And Beyond! Moms Panel Hopefuls and Friends

I know that everyone is anxiously awaiting "the" emails but for those of you that are in the path of Sandy I hope you stay safe.

I have grown up in a hurricane area so I am all too familiar with the stress and 'fun' of prepping for a storm and then the aftermath (regardless of if it is just lack of power or damage to property).

The American Red Cross puts out a free iPhone app that allows you to set it up for storm alerts, gives info on storm preparations, shelter locations, and allows you to set it up to send out "I'm OK" messages to your contacts. Not sure if it is available for other phones but worth looking for. There are also some free iPhone apps out there that act as emergency weather radios and some that will allow you to listen to your local fire/rescue/emergency dispatch.

Morning all!!! I am at my son's basketball game at an ungodly hour! Hopefully I will be able to keep my eyes on the game and not check my phone every 5 seconds!!

I am getting nervous about this hurricane! :sad2:

Now they are saying the winds, rain, and power outages could hit as far north as Boston & Buffalo by Monday/Tuesday! :scared: (I am in Buffalo) And it's $%&# cold here! No power = no heat. :faint: Stay safe everyone!

I just hope we all get our pixiedust: today, so that at least we won't have to worry about internet and email going down from the storm tomorrow! :thumbsup2

I just read a Tweet from Laura that said she got up at the crack of dawn to go bogging with Ocean Spray - I am sure that means she is at Epcot in the bog doing some kind of social media activity. (:crazy2: duh, that's what she does! I am so not awake yet)

I need some :coffee:

I'm with you about the hurricane! I'm a little more inland, but near lots of trees and streams. I'm really hoping we fare well and I don't want us east coasters to be without email before the R3 emails go out!

Lots of pixiedust: for all!

Oh my goodness, I've not been able to get on here for a few days and not only is there a new thread but it's 46 pages long!

I really thought we were going to hear something last night. I went out to dinner with DH and then to the cinema and came out expecting to see an email!

I wonder if we will hear today?

I just wanted to wish everyone good luck and hope that all of you that are in Sandy's path stay safe and well xx

I tweeted Laura. Told her we are all worried about losing power in the hurricane. I asked her for a hint on when we might see a pixie dust alert. She said she's worried about it too. Hopefully that means she and Leanne will push to get the emails out today :thumbsup2

Morning Hopefuls! I thought for sure we would hear last night. Oh well, at least the waiting is bringing me out of lurkdum.

Looks like @zannaland is at the bog too.

Hubby and I are going as "replacement refs", thought it would be funny in light of all the craziness in football a few weeks back. :lmao:

Great costume idea!!! What does your costume entail??

Also to everyone out there in the path of Sandy, please stay safe and let us know, when you can, that you are ok.

I interrupt this regularly scheduled program to request some extra special pixie dust...

Just spoke to my cousin in Chicago.. Her two year old DD is having brain surgery on Monday to remove a cavernous malformation that has been causing her to have seizures every day. She is monumentally stressed out. Please send good thoughts her way and hope that Emily has a successful surgery!! I know I'd be a wreck... :(

Just getting caught up and wanted to let you know that my prayers are with you and your family. I also loved seeing all of the prayers coming your way. They need not ever know about all of us but I hope Monday goes well and brings them comfort. :)

Good Morning Gang!!!! :wave2::yay::wave2:

After all the excitement yesterday I went to bed early and slept more consecutive hours than I have in a month! Boy it felt good!!! :goodvibes We've got a Halloween party to go to tonight and I'm in charge of making a few appetizers, so it should help take my mind off the waiting. :hourglass Originally I was going in costume as a gypsy, but the temperature is supposed to drop down into the 20's with possible snow flurries (it's an outdoor party) So now I'm thinking lots of layers and a big thermos of hot chocolate. :p I'll be staying close to the bonfire for sure! ;)

Good luck to everyone today! :grouphug: I'm sending buckets of Pixie Dust to cover all of us!!!! pixiedust:

Morning all! Up early to head out for the football game so thought I'd drop in to say good luck and pixie dust in case I can't get on later.

You're all in my thoughts today and for those of you in the path of Sandy, I'm sending out some extra pixie dust! Be safe!

That movie was funny! Rebel Wilson is hilarious :rotfl2:

It was a really good movie! Morning everyone! Hope that today is the day! Im swamped all day but you know I'll be checking everything as much as I can! Lol! Fingers crossed for everyone!

My little one was up at the crack of 5:30 this morning, so I, of course, got up and checked my email. I'm not obsessed or anything. :rolleyes1

Keep safe all of you that may get hit by this hurricane. You are all in my thoughts!

BethA -- sending prayers for your mom!

I will be checking in most of today. My oldest says she feels better, but I don't want to rush her, so we may just be spending the day at home.

Of course, Tennessee football starts at noon, so my DH will be firmly planted in front of the tv at about 11:45. :)

Wishing lots of pixiedust: on all of us today!!!!

Stay safe east coasters!

It's a girls weekend for me and DD, with DH off in Vegas. Last night we watched wayyy too much Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Doc McStuffins while I was all :scared: following the action on Twitter. We'll have to get out today, but I have no idea what to do on a cold Saturday with a 3-year-old. Any suggestions?

Ugh...woke up sick and I have no voice!!! I also noticed that DD woke up with two bloodshot eyes and one of them kind of sticky. I'm pretty sure she has pink eye in both eyes so I'm trying to get her in to see the doctor. We also have to get all of our grocery shopping done today before the storm!! Craziness!!

Good Morning! :) I did not sleep well at all last night, and this dark, cold, wet weather is making me even more tired! :sad1:

Hopefully we will get some pixiedust: from the princess: today to lift our spirits! :thumbsup2

Sending prayers to everyone in the path of Sandy! Hopefully it won't be as bad as they are predicting. :littleangel:

Good morning! Prayers and pixie dust all around! Busy day of Halloween activities for us here ... including a pet costume contest. I'm dressing a guinea pig as a whoopie cushion, so how can we lose? I'm having the strange Disney dreams now too. Last night in my dreams, we were trying out a brand new Magic Kingdom roller coaster ... made entirely of fruit roll-ups. I need coffee. LOL.

Good Morning Waiting Room Family! To all those that are affected by the hurricane please be safe and know we are sending you all love and all of our positive energy. Extra prayers being said for those families in need right now. Is there anything, anywhere like the magic of the Disney connection to make you feel like you are lifelong friends? In has been such an amazing journey and I feel so honored and so blessed to be able to take it with each and every one of you incredible moms and dads. May this weekend be magical and full of pixie dust for all of us. Hugs
