to Round 3...And Beyond! Moms Panel Hopefuls and Friends

So, we leave for Disney in less than four weeks. We were lucky enough to get ressies at Be Our Guest. My DDIs almost nine, and wants me to make her a Belle dress for dinner. Now, I love that Disney is a place where my little girl can still be a little girl, but how old is too old to dress your child in a costume for a meal? (keep in mind, I'd probably wear one if I were allowed:))

Thanks!

Yay!!! :cool1: A new home!!! :grouphug:

Dawn I was just about to quote your post about your "personal philosophy" and sing to you!!!! It's Dawn's problem freeeeee philosophyyyyy Hakuna Matata!!!:simba:

I am slap happy and half crazy today I swear!! :upsidedow I think I just performed every song from Finding Nemo the musical for my kids as I was cooking dinner. :rotfl: How about THAT for a dream Disney job??? :cloud9: You guys don't even know how hard it is for me to sit through that show and not jump up and start singing along!!! :dance3: My poor kids are about to call the men in white coats to come and take me away. I haven't slept, or eaten, or accomplished anything in days. If I didn't have you guys I don't know what I'd do. Even if you all make it and I don't I'm still going to stay here and cheer for you guys. :cheer2: TEAM 2013!!!!!

I know what you mean. My DH is thankful I have this outlet, so I'm keeping my jitters here. :)

This group is really fun this year. Heck, let's start our own Mom's Panel! Rejects have more fun!

(well, maybe not, but you know what I mean!)

Wow! There seem to be quite a few from Texas! Who all is from the Dallas/fort worth area?

Me! :wave2: I live in Plano - so does Tiggsntx! I'm originally from Houston, but bolted north as soon as I could. I can't take the humidity anymore!

Since peaches will be way out of season, I was thinking that I would bring praline pecans. I'm not a big fan, but everyone I know loves them. I think they are too sweet.

Or I could bring southern wine glasses. I've seen them referred to as redneck wine glasses further north.

Since the Falcons are doing well, I could bring something Falcons.

I love redneck wine glasses - so funny! :thumbsup2

After reading Anna's report and seeing those cute Mickey ears someone made I had this great idea! :) I'm not very crafty but somewhere in this house I have about 10 golden Mickey ears leftover from the 05/05/05 celebration! Wouldn't it be cool to totally bling them out with glitter, rhinestones, etc, to give everyone? Maybe get them stitched with MP2013?? I love the idea of matching ears! :earsgirl::earsboy::earsgirl::earsboy: Heck even if I don't make it maybe I'll just mail you all some! :lmao:

LOVE IT! I have a pair of those golden ears, too, but mine already have my name on them. :thumbsup2

No bling, though. Does anyone have a BeDazzler?!?!

I say as long as she's comfortable in it, let her do it. Heck, she's not even a Disney "adult" yet. Let her be Belle! :thumbsup2

I'm glad I made you laugh, I was actually laughing at myself..
Normally I don't have a tiara on, ironically I walked past my tiara in my room & just put it in my hair & really forgot it was on---felt so natural I guess. Then it just so happened to be lunch time, so I grabbed leftover chicken & dumplings from my fridge & started eating---then he walked in.....BUSTED--funny situation.:crazy2:

You would love hanging out with my two best girlfriends and me! We have "tiara Tuesdays" every week! princess: We change our FB profile pics to photos of us wearing tiaras and even wear them out to lunch if we go out. ;) We're crazy like that. :upsidedow

So, I thought a lot about this. I grew up in Gilroy, CA which is famous for garlic, so, maybe a garlic braid? I currently live in MD, so I guess Old Bay seasoning, but it's not really something I like....would have to think about that some more. I could also represent Chico, CA...where my extended family currently resides. Maybe something from Sierra Nevada Brewing?

Definitely fun to think about:) !

Yeah for Chico!!! I live in Oroville about 20 minutes away and went to Chico State! Sierra Nevada would be an excellent choice for the mom's panel gift basket.

OMGosh I literally just snorted out loud thinking of the Moms Panel rejects :lmao::lmao::lmao: That's better than the reality show we were going to start last night! ;) I admit I do watch Dance Moms :rolleyes1 I just can't get enough of Miss Abby let me tell ya!

I don't know how I ended up with so many of those golden ears! We went to all the press events and they just kept giving them to us and I just kept saying "why Thank You!" :littleangel:

I know Oroville! My parents always take us out on the lake there when we visit in the summer! And I believe my brother-in-law went to Chico State too!

Yay! New Thread! Okay... so the movies did NOT help one bit. I spent most of the time with my hand covering my eyes. I don't like movies that make me nervous!! :scared: BUT I did get to see a new trailer for Oz The Great and Powerful and it looks awesome!!!

To everyone that is passing the time listening to and/or singing Disney music... My family loves singing Disney songs!! My kids don't like it for some odd reason when I sing :rolleyes1 But they really love to sing. My DS3's favorite song is "Oh Canada" and when my DD6 tried to sing "Colors of the Wind" she started off with "You think I'm an ignorant SANDWICH"... I laughed SO hard I thought I was going to lose it! Now she loves singing "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow", which is one of my all time favorite attraction songs!

I also love listening to the area loops of the different parks. The Epcot entrance music always brings me right back to Spaceship Earth if I close my eyes and think about it. Any of the future world tracks are awesome!! I SO wish Disney would come out with a CD of all the background loops for the parks. I would buy it in a second!

This is my thought too...I just wanted another insight!

I was going to say let her do it, too. You never know how long she will want to do it.

My 10-year-old is starting to break my heart a little this year. She is choosing to not be a Disney character for Halloween this year. :guilty:

And to top it off, I was starting to make my piles for our trip and she said "Wow. This whole pile matches.". I agreed. Then she said "Oh, are we going to match every day? Won't that be weird?"

This coming from the girl who, up until, I don't know, yesterday, has asked repeatedly to have matching outfits with her sister.

Epcot has some of the best music! The Innovations area loop is one of my favorites. We call the beginning portion "walking music" because we always seem to be walking through the plaza area with that playing, so I have to do my special Epcot walk.

Hopefully I'll be able to show y'all in December!

I'm a dance mom-- of COURSE I have a bedazzler and a gazillion rhinestones!

I could use a song today, nice singing voice, thx! Tiara Tuesday would be great, sounds like a blast.:grouphug:

I also watch Dance Moms. Abby Lee Miller is crazy & those Dance Moms!:dance3:

If we go through 10-15 pages while we are just waiting, what is going to happen when we finally get those precious emails? 50 messages an hour?? :rolleyes2

You are never too old to wear a Belle costume to dinner. I would wear one if I had one! I would love to wear it to Be My Guest -- and match my daughter!! (I always wanted a daughter, but -- three boys.)

My boys complain a little about the matchy-matchy, but we just came home from Walt Disney World, and we are color coded in most of the pictures!! :laundy:

I love that show! I think Abby Lee Miller is nuts. I can't believe the way she talks to those kids! It's very entertaining tho. :)
