To request a server or not?

no we don't and twice I've regretted it but we're rolling the dice again this september and not requesting a serving team

To be honest, requesting a TEAM is dangerous as they are changed up for a variety of reasons. If you're going to make a server request, it is better to request one and then your roll of the dice is whoever they are paired with.

This is what I figured kind of and my DD has HFA ASD and we always request a table alone because of her needs and so we figure we'll take what we can get after that lol

Yep! And the more requests on the reservation the harder it is as they don't know what is most important. Because of medical needs that should get the table to yourself almost guaranteed - at least that is what I've been told due to my allergies. I push it enough to request a rotation (or Maureen on the Fantasy) because I've been told medical issues all but guarantee your own table. So I chance one more.

Sometimes a favorite server still works on that boat, but may be off due to hiatus. It's best to just go with the flow and see who you get.

Do you all request servers on your cruises? If so, any current ones on the Fantasy we should request? We leave in a couple of weeks.

I read that sometimes you get paired better when you don't make any requests. We are a family of 3, with an only child, and I would love for her to be with other kids.

I do not request servers. But, based on your post what you might request is to be paired with a family with young children. Disney does a great job of pairing people, but so many people seem to want their own table today that the default for a family of 3 might just be a 4 top table. A request would emphasize that you would like to be seated with another family.
