Arriving on a Sunday for a week's stay at BCV's. Hubbie wants to take two older kids to US for a day.

Would it advantageous to rent a minivan or have a limo take us to and from resort and just rent a car for the day?

There are six of us. I know we can rent a car directly on the resort property.

The only time we would use the rental would be for US as we use Disney's transportation religiously.

Thanks for any suggestions. I have to make ressies either way immediately.

I would mathematically work it out both ways and if you can find a good rental rate, I say take the rental. You never know there are a lot of times when you have the car you might use it since you already have it. Extra shopping, go to movie, late nite run to animal kingdom macdonald's? Who knows? So if its about the same price with a limo back a forth from airport and US or a 1 week rental maybe a good code or coupon you might be able to get the car for the week. (I always get the car) ::yes:: (likes to shop) Illinois does not have a macy's!

I agree! The price difference between renting the limo and the cost of renting a minivan for the week may be worth it! I, myself would never go without a rental car/van, there's soo much offered to see and do outside of *just* staying on-site!! :)

Oh...the freedom to roam!! :)

I would say that the convenience of a car far outweighs any price advantage to a towncar or limousine service.

You can come and go at your leisure to and from UNiversal Studios without having to call the towncar company to schedule a pickup.

As others have mentioned, it's also convenient to run to the drugstore, or the grocery store for last minute things or items you may have forgotten on your grocery stop if you get one of those.
