I just want you to all know we're thinking of you and praying for your safety. Watching the news reports of the flooding and storms is just heart wrenching. I hope you're all okay!!

Pete

I hope everyone is okay, too! We've has A LOT of rain here in St. Louis, but thankfully no flooding - This time! I worry about all the Dis'ers in Illinois and Indiana, especially - I know there are a lot of you out there.
Take care everyone!:grouphug:

Hope everyone stays safe and will be thinking of you all

Thanks so much for thinking of us Pete and the PodCrew! The weather wasn't too bad this weekend in Southeastern Wisconsin. Just a few showers in the morning, then some heavy Florida-like rain later in the day. Right now the sun is shining with very few clouds. :)

I hope you all guys are ok.
simonkodousek: glad you and your family are ok:)

Thanks from o-h-i-o! Last week, at one point, it was actually hotter here than orlando, where we'll be next week! Cant wait to get to Disney to COOL OFF!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Some very heavy rains here, but fast moving..tornado like weather, but thankfully, no damage here!

The flooding is still bad with many county roads washed out.

Try to imagine the westbound lanes of I-4 washed out, all lanes of I-95 flooded, and I-75 closed due to flooding and that is about how bad it got for interstate travel on Saturday. Yikes! :scared1:

For midwest people, that was I-70, I-65 and I-74. Three major interstates that go across our state. And I-70 westbound is still closed. Crazy.

Anyway, I know that there are others here form Indiana and Illinois who have it far worse than I, and we have been helping them out. The retension pond behind my house was the deepest it has ever been on Saturday, and they are calling this a 100 year flood.

Thanks everyone for all your prayers, thoughts, help and support.

Thanks for the thoughts. 29 counties in Indiana have been declared Federal Disaster Areas - some from tornadoes, most from flooding. Although we've had a lot of rain in central Indiana, our house has thankfully remained dry. We have friends who live about 30 miles south of Indianapolis who had 6 feet of water in their basement. We have other friends whose family members basically lost everything when a damn burst and their entire neighborhood was flooded.

It honestly hurts me as a person to watch people so helpless. I wish I could do something, I mean with the economy crashing, and now the storms are causing people to loose their homes. It's truly saddening.

My heart goes out too all those in the midwest

Thanks Pete and crew....

I am hoping everyone is safe! I am in Southern Indiana, kind of holed up in my house, since this is our week out of school and gas is so high....

We were in a tornado at our house 4 years ago and it was so awful....I hate seeing it or hearing it happen to anyone.

Thanks Pete!

Also, praying for everyone to be safe.

Hey Pete - what happened to your buttons they aren't so fun to play with anymore.

The weather sure has been crazy. We live right on the Mississippi, and the river has been crazy. We've been very fortunate, though. We've personally had no flooding, and the tornados have stayed away. However, the town my cousins grew up in was hit by a tornado and destoryed the town. Very sad.

It's just awful. I saw a report on CNN yesterday, the reporter was in a development, standing in a sea of furniture and people's belongings, where 200 homes were flooded out and she said almost no one had flood insurance because the area never had any floods before. :(

We had some terrible rain, power out, downed trees, but no flooding thank goodness.

My thoughts are with you all. I have some relations out there, and have been in touch with them...so far so good for them...but it has been a wild ride, taking refuge in the bathtub every time there's a tornado watch, and then all the flooding.

Makes the incredible heat we've been suffering through not such a drastic thing...although I did get a little heat-sick today and had to leave work. Thank goodness it's due to end soon.

We are here right on the border of Missouri/Kansas and the river is HIGH and they are evacuating some places around us. It is very scary and I am having flashbacks of 1993 where my mom's work was flooded and she lost her job.:( :sad2:

Just now seeing this stay safe everyone. I dont watch much news but this is just terrible. I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Checking in. We are also in Southern Indiana. So far so good. We get a few flashes of bad storms and then sunshine. We noticed over the weekend that the Ohio River is REALLY getting high (it's getting all the tributaries I suppose).

All I can think about are those folks who have just lost everything!

My aunt lives in Indianapolis along with half of DH's family and they are all fine. My aunt's backyard is getting deep but she has no basement to worry with. Our radar here locally looks blank so, WOOT!:cool1: Thanks for the posts everybody!

Thanks Pete & crew.

Just north of Indianapolis we are doing ok. Some areas worse than others. For those south of Indy I hope you are doing ok. Thoughts and prayers to anyone affected by the flooding.
