Just wondered what your thoughts would be for this? Our DGD is just turned 11yrs old, she would like to do Bibbiddi boutique one more time, she's quite a lot bigger than her friends around 5'2" and a size 6 shoe, do you think she would be to old/big to go?

The age limit is 12 so if she wants to why not :)

She could always have pampering at the GF if she's "old" for her age though :)

Why not try the Pirates league? My 11 year old did this this week and loves it. She is a girl.

My daughter is 11 and does it every year =) she doesn't get dressed up anymore but still loves to go get her hair done !! Go for it everyone's a kid while in disney ;)

I'm thinking the same,my daughter will be 10 when we go but she really wants to do it. She's in 11-12 clothes now and a size 5 and we still have a year before we go. Not sure what to do?

I'd let her go one last time before she is too old.

Take a dress for her - maybe a bridesmaid dress or travis do some lovely fancy dress ballgowns (try ebay)

The xl size disney park dresses may fit - they often have these at the character outlet or on ebay. Think they are for age 12-14.

I would let her go while she is still wanting to do it,
Little girls grow up way too fast these days and while most are wanting to go out with friends dressed in less desirable clothes your GD wants to be a princess!!
I'd be all for it, at disney it really doesn't matter to anybody if she is bigger then other girls who do the BBB... I can not wait for MNSSHP so I can dress up again as tinkerbell so you see there is an inner princess in everybody lol

I would make the appointment. You can always cancel if she changes her mind. When my DD was 4 we went to Disneyland but they didn't have BBB there yet. When she was 11 we took her to WDW. Six months before I showed her pictures of BBB, explained the whole thing...she didn't want to do it, said she was "too old"...until she saw all the other little girls in the parks who'd gone to BBB. THEN she wanted to do it and I couldn't get a last minute appointment:worried:.

My middle DD will be 11 when we go back and she is desperate to do BBB again. Definitely let her go! I would take a dress with you so that you know she has something to wear. Like Stephanie says, the Travis dresses are lovely and a little bit more 'grown up' if she doesn't want to be a full-on Disney princess.:goodvibes

My little girl will be nearly 10 and wearing age 11 clothes when we go. She occasionally dresses up at home but is very definate that when we go she still wants to do the whole package-down to the princess dress. She has very maturely concluded that this will prob be the last time she can so wants to make the most of it. As others have said, all girls (old and young) are princesses at heart and certainly when you are there princess fever takes over. Def make the appointment as easier to cancel then make last minute.:) enjoy

If she really wants to go, let her go
I know I would go ... if I wasn't a guy and if I still had hair on my head :) :) :)
more seriously, that's the last time she'll get to do that, last time to be a little girl, that's a precious time, let her capture all of it while she still can.

Thanks for the lovely replies everyone, so it's decided she will be going. I looked on Travis dresses but they only go up to age 12yrs, we need a 13-14yr old, I'm sure we will find one though.

We saw an 'older girl' maybe 12 having her hair done there the other day. As a far as the dress is concerned, be aware that they may not let her into the parks wearing one as she is 'adult height' and adults are not allowed in the parks in fancy dress. It will completely depend on who is on the gate. I've seen young teens in princess dresses and I've seen kids my height (I'm 5' 1") turned away.

Hi I don't think there will be a problem with a girl of that age after a makeover. As long as the dress goes on at the boutique and they don't arrive at the park in it before. Also they usually get a sash from the Bibbiddi bobbodi boutique with the makeover and there is no mistaking the style of their makeovers so should be fine xx

Have you tried ETSY they custom make dresses. I bought a few for DD (she is really small 2 and half still in 6-9 months clothes) before I started making them my self x

I don't want to sound dumb but what is the pirates league? We have never heard of it.

It's in MK next to the pirates of the Caribbean ride. It's basically a pirate boutique where kids and adults get made up as pirates. There are costumes too as well as face makeup and sashes. My 11 year old daughter looked gorgeous at the end. It included shiny face stickers and pirate glitter! There are different 'looks' to choose from. She has never wanted to be a princess but she loved this and didn't feel too old. I had it done with her. We had a blast.
