To Merge Two Reservations or Not?

This upcoming spring break, we had three nights booked at the Beach Club and a 4th night at SSR. We got lucky and a waitlist for that 4th night came through and we now have all 4 nights at the Beach Club.
On the 4th night, my wife and I will still be on the reservation, but the other people in our room will be changing.

Will we be able to merge these two reservations into one, despite there being different guests on the final night?
Thanks for your help

The challenge will be the magic bands. I'd call Member Services for advice on this one.

Nope. All guests must be the same on both reservations in order for them to be consolidated into a single reservation.

What's weird, though, is I called MS last night and they said they could merge them on their end. Dining plan obviously messes with things on that end, though. It could be that he was mistaken, or doing it under the table, because I was under the impression that you were right as well.

I'd seriously consider keeping them separate and adding a dining plan for the last night. Do the math, but if you were thinking about a signature restaurant on your last night, it could work out quite well. A table service breakfast, the signature and a snack or two plus the souvenir mugs to take home. If you go that route, ask MS to put on note on the two reservations requesting that you be able to stay in the same room, and then repeat that request when you check in.

Yeah I think that's our plan. We are doing drinking around the world as a bachelor/bachelorette party (very drawn out and respectfully). We are considering treating them to the dining plan because both quick service and table service include drinks. My wife is also very nervous about packing up the things in our room and then checking back in that night. I personally don't get what the big issue is, but happy wife= happy life.

This right here says ... it all, and answers your question:teacher::teeth:

Other than the DP question, I doubt it'd be an issue. If they're merged one check in and you won't have to change rooms. They have to be the same booking category where applicable but it's not for BCV. They could have merged them on their end even without your knowledge or permission.
