Your boys are absolutely adorable - so handsome! When I read of all your son has been through, well .... I said a prayer for you all. :littleangel:

I think what you are doing for William is a fantastic idea, and I totally love the plans for a big reveal. :thumbsup2

I'm glad the call finally came for you and can't wait to read more as all of your plans come together. popcorn::

I hope you had a great birthday:cake:

I am just joining in! My daughter's wish trip will be the week of Thanksgiving. I completely understand not trying to go on a holiday, but I am a teacher and have to conserve my days off that I am taking! We used to half joke in our house that if it was a holiday or I was off work for any reason...we would be inpatient!

Hope your meeting goes well, can't wait to hear about it;)

I would honestly love to go at Thanksgiving more than Spring Break, but my husband's grandfather passed the day after Thanksgiving last year - so we want to be there with his grandmother.:lovestruc
I use to teach high school science, before becoming a mommy and now I'm about to start evening classes for nursing - from one unappreciated job to another! Thanks for joining in!!!:welcome:

Taking baby steps, getting Matthew out and about, helping him with crowds and people. Only TWO meltdowns today (and one was because he was hungry - so that didn't count;)) We went to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. I know I have one in Atlanta - but honestly, they are both an hour away and Chattanooga has LOTS less traffic!:drive: Plus, I feel relaxed and happy there, as I went my first time when I was 13 - so I feel slightly sentimental to it.:goodvibes Our other meltdown was due to lighting - some of the lights were similar to OR (hang over the bed) type lights and he had a moment...or a few moments actually.:sad1: But he did really well after we told him NO doctors - NO owies - and NO RIDING ON BEDS!:thumbsup2
Here's a pic of a wonderful family day! (and my shirt says "I believe in miracles, thanks to my son's organ donor" I'm kind of walking billboard for organ donation when I leave the house):lmao:

What a sweet family photo! And good for you on the T-shirt - what a great way to spread the word! ::yes::

I just want to say that your children are beautiful and I hope your son and your entire family enjoys your trip to Disney. I found out I had kidney disease when I was 15 years old. I started dialysis when I was 20 and I got a kidney transplant when I was 25. I had twelve wonderful years dialysis free. I adopted my two beautiful children within that time but unfortunately my transplant failed a year ago so I am back on dialysis waiting for transplant number two. It is hard but it has made me truly appreciate how precious life is! I am currently trying to plan a Disney trip that will revolve around my treatments. I am hopeful that a transplant will come and give me many more years of freedom. I hope your sons transplant lasts for a very long time! You are a strong mama and your son is strong as well. That will help him throughout his life!

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your story!:flower3: I'm so happy you had twelve years from your gift of life!:yay: I hope dialysis goes smoothly with no complications and a donor is found as quick as possible. Blessings and hugs to you and your family!:grouphug:

Wooo - unexpected absence there due to the tragic 4 wheeler death of my neighbor's husband.:littleangel::sad1: Still helping them out, but able to be back over here in the evening/nights again.
Our wish granters arrive on Saturday!:banana: It's been the shining light that has blinked happy thoughts into my mind all week long. So far, Matthew has wished to "ride doors with Sully", "eat honey with a heffalump", "shoot Zurg in the head - kind of violent for a 4 yr old no??":scratchin or "chase the robot trashcan" (aka PUSH) We'll see what magic can be brought about with those wishes... I'm excited yet nervous that all of a sudden he will wake up and want to ride a cow that day, and that will be written down as his wish. Fingers crossed we are not sent to a dairy farm for the afternoon!;)

So sorry to hear about your neighbor's husband.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that Matthew's wishes are granted ... and that they are all of the Disney variety! :lmao:

Thank you - it's been rough, they have two little girls I've been watching. :sad1:
So far, it seems we are on a Winnie the Pooh kick - but that can change at any time! Fingers, toes and eyes all need to be crossed with this little guys imagination! 13 more hours!!!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

Good luck today! I know your ds will make a wonderful wish! I am sure the wish grantors will figure it out that "visiting a Dairy farm" is not his one true wish!!! Haha

Our wish grantors just left - had to run and post. Our "official" wish is to go to Disney World to meet the Pooh characters and PUSH the robot trashcan. :cool1::yay::banana:pooh: So excited! We put down February as our first choice, April as our second and May as our third. Fingers crossed - it should take 4-6 weeks they said to hear back. Now to practice my patience....:crazy2:
