Just a question for those who are knowledgeable. A friend has told me that she has a Hummel that is concidered rare. In Hummel book it states that only prototypes were made and never released for sale and it is known that maybe 10 are in private collections. What would you suggest to be the best method to use if she chooses to sell this piece? On next trip to WDW she plans on stopping at Germany to have them look at it.

John,
ebay could work for her. When listing she should put in the description as much information as she has/knows about the piece. Also what is good about ebay is they have was is called a reserve price, what that is if you know you want x amount of dollars for the item than you put that amount where it ask if you have a reserve. If the bidding does not reach that asking price than she does not have to sell the item, but if it does reach the reserve than she would have to sell.

If all of this seems a little confusing, you can go to the help section of ebay and they will tell you how to sell an item and even explain what a reserve price means.
