I am LOVING the Croc Mary Jane's and the flip flops. However, I am wondering a couple of things

1) Do they make the feet uncomfortably sweaty? I would not wear them with socks (obviously!)

2) Are they okay in the rain? Slippery? Drain well?

I am totally a flip flop person and I own croc flip flops. However, I have taken a nasty fall in mine when they were wet once. So I try not to wear them when I think there may be water around. I will tell you that I have some Sanuk brand flip flops and some Yellow Box flip flops that are super comfy and sweating and sliding are minimal. I wear them in DW and never have foot aches. Hope this helps. :goodvibes

Well I am one of those people who hated them and bought some and liked them. In fact, i bought them at the MK and found them immediately comfortable. However... that being said, maybe it's because they were new, ( after all, never wear new shoes to the parks right? ) but the TOP of the croc rubbed the top of my foot to a bloody blister. And as you said, I wasn't about the wear socks with my crocs ( which would have helped ) ... So I was back to my trusty ol' Converse.

i could not stand the crocs. they made my feet sweat really bad plus i figured the rainy day would be perfect for them but it wasent...my feet were slipping inside them, and it left me with blisters....but thats just my opinion...im sure tehy are different for different feet!

I have and love my Croc sandals. I plan on wearing them while in DW this summer. About the wet/slippery issue, they are very slippery on wet floors, but I doubt it would be on asphalt. Guess I will find out!

here is a not to heard of trick i use, all I wear is crocs..first I have 2 different things i do...

I put baby powder in my crocs..
also..for sweat I use spray deoderant on my feet...works like a charm!!

As far as like when it rains..well..they are plastic..not much you can do with the wishy washy feeling..but there better than wearing soaked sneakers and socks all day!!:confused3

I have the Capri Croc flip flops and wore them at Animal Kingdom a few weeks ago. I developed a HUGE, bad blister from them on my one foot. Good thing I had moleskin with me as that saved me the rest of the week, which I then wore sneakers. Just something to keep in mind.............

I got a huge sore on the top of my foot too. I also bought the ones at the magic kingdom and found them to be very comfortable until I wore them for a day. They hurt when you walk a ton, especially when it's warm out. I would stick to comfortable sneakers or sandals.

I was wondering about using baby powder in Crocs. I am going to try it. Thanks for the tip!

1) Do they make the feet uncomfortably sweaty?

I was one of those people who SWORE they'd never wear crocs. Well, never say never. I found Disney ones on clearance about a month before a trip so of course I HAD to buy them. I made sure to wear them quite a bit before the trip because no matter how comfortable of a shoe you're guaranteed to get blisters if you don't break them in first. I wore them to work almost every day for the two weeks before my trip (luckily dress where I work is casual). I wore them almost the entire time we were down there (I wore something different when I wore a skirt because I'll only go so far with crocs). I never had a single problem.

My feet did slip around inside the shoe a bit when wet but IMO that's a lot more comfortable than wet socks and shoes or even wet canvas shoes. They seemed to dry VERY fast but it was also insanely hot out as that trip was in August. In addition I had absolutely no slipping on floors when wet.

Hi...I LOVE my crocs. I wore them the last trip and had no problems. I also wear them at home all the time. I think that is the key, you have to wear them BEFORE you go so that you can get used to them(Just like any shoe). I have the flip flops and sandals. No matter what type of shoe I wear, I always spray my feet with Dr. Scholls foot spray. My feet stay cool and dry the entire day. Hope this helps:)

I wear Crocs
I wear Crocs with Socs

:lmao:

yes I wear socks with my crocs. they are great in the park. We had them when an UNEXPECTED rain shower came in and soaked everything. I took the socks off and wore my crocs around. Everyone else had wet socs and shoes for days.

Yes they are slippery when wet, but you just have to watch for those tiled floors.

I have to wear them with socks also. They are just slightly too big in size small for me so I slide around in them like crazy when they're wet so I have to wear socks to a)soak up the water and b)give me a little more padding.

LOVE my Crocs....no socks for me. Those things look dumb enough without adding socks to them!!:lmao:

I have 3 pair of Crocs Mary Janes as they are comfortable to walk in and make my back feel good, BUT, they are very slippery. We always replace and have new pairs, and they are still slippery as that is the nature of a soft soled shoe - they catch on stuff and in the rain, watch out!

I just bought some Keen sandals, and hubby and kids got some Keen and Tevas as well, as these are specifically made for the rain. I see what we've spent on Crocs over the past 2 years and ouch! No more, we will now be buying shoes that are actually made for the water.

Good luck, Tiger

I wear my crocs, teva sandals, and keen newport h2s and rotate. I am a croc soccer and never had a blister, just break them in b4 you go. However, the tevas and keens offer more support and less slipping.

What about Croc flip flops like the Capri Suede? Anyone have any experience with these?

I can't stand flip flops at the parks...pool and waterparks yes, but for walking I like more subtance.

Try taking a long walk in flops and see how your feet react though...everyone is different!

I have been reluctant about the Mary Jane's because from May to September, I LIVE in flip flops.
For my past two Disney trips (2008 and 2006), I have worn the $5 for 2 Old Navy flip flops. I suppose because my feet are so used to them, I never got a single blister or foot pain. However, this trip I wanted to upgrade. I was thinking about going with tevas or reefs or the croc flip flops.
Anyone from New England knows the Christmas Tree Shop-- they always sell fake crocs (I have two pairs!) and this year they have the fake croc flip flops. I was thinking about buying a pair of those and testing them out to see if I like them...
