To Croc or Not? Too sweaty?

I just bought a pair of the Teva Mush! I couldn't resist after seeing all the cute designs!! I'm going to try them out while we're in Florida next week for our "beach" vacation before we're off to DisneyWorld in Oct.

What about Croc flip flops like the Capri Suede? Anyone have any experience with these?

I got a black pair of these a while back (not the suede ones, but the other Capris) and they have been awesome so far. I leave for DW tomorrow and plan on wearing them in the parks. I've worn them quite a bit at home after work and all over on the weekends testing them out. They have been very comfortable and I love them. I also tried the Teva Mush kind to try at the same time, but my heel didn't have much support in those, so I returned them. It was like my heel sunk and was lower than the rest of my foot. Maybe too much mush? :confused3 lol I knew those would NOT work.

I think I'll be really happy switching between the capri's and my new balance. I'll let you know how it goes!:goodvibes

Hahaha! Just cover the $15 for the extra bag I'm carrying you in and it's a done deal! :rotfl:

Yes, we seriously can't wait. I'm not real sure how I'm supposed to sleep tonight!?! Don't be jealous though. Yours will be here before you know it! :goodvibes

I have both Crocs Cleos and Malindis and have worn both to the parks for 3 and 5 days straight. LOVE them. I thought I would hate them at first and was even laughing at myself for buying them, but I love them. I wore my tennis shoes for one day at the park and had horrible blisters. Not with my Crocs. They are the only shoes I wear now to the parks, Sea World, other water parks, when we go to the aquarium, etc.

If your feet sweat, try baby powder, deodorant, or the foot spray. I noticed that my feet sweat a bit with the Malindis (it's a closed toe, sling-back shoe) but not with the Cleos (sandals).

My daughters wear the Malindis and Mary Janes almost year round now (we live in the South).

I tried some of the flip-flops (Athens and Capris) and the piece that goes between the toes was too thick and caused pain and blisters so I don't wear the flip-flop style.

Last time I was at WDW, I did wear socks with my Crocs! I just found it much more comfortable. I found cute novelty Peds-type socks (the low-cut type) in patterns like dots, stripes, etc. that matched my Crocs.

Crocs are so ugly anyways, why would it matter if you wear socks with them??

I picked up a pair of Athens Croc flip flops at Costco for $15 and couldn't be more in love with them :thumbsup2. I've worn flip flops to WDW for years though and actually, in the summer, I can't wear tennies because my feet get way to hot. I'm going to pick up another pair of the Athens when we hit the Croc outlet on Sunday. The Athens style has a very cushy soft heel if anyone is looking for that in a shoe. I've never worn the "ugly" crocs though so I can't compare.

im having this debate as well!!! i love my crocs and they are well broken in. and im used to the rain aspect, i wear them here in the rain all the time! i think the one big upside to me wearing them is in the airport- since theyre all plastic or rubber or whatever the hell theyre made of, i figure i wont have to strip my shoes off this time in security!

I own the flip flops and the regular Crocs...both are very comfortable. I've been on the fence about what to wear in the parks...and WAM! I just read an awesome trip report with LOTS of pics and the gal wore Cleo Crocs, pretty brown & pinks ones. They look SO comfortable, so much so, I'm ordering a pair soon. I'll have them in 2 weeks, and I'll know right away, if there gonna work for me. I'm sure they will...I've never put my foot in a pair of Crocs that it didn't IMMEDIATLY feel comfortable!! ;)

While in WDW in March all I wore the entire time was my mickey crocs!!! they were the only shoes I took with me. No blisters no rubbing just replies to many questions as to where I found the Mickey crocs!!

they were selling the mickey mammoths when I was there and almost got a pr to wear when I got home but decided against it do to lack of rm in the luggage

I wear Crocs
I wear Crocs with Socs

:lmao:

yes I wear socks with my crocs. they are great in the park. We had them when an UNEXPECTED rain shower came in and soaked everything. I took the socks off and wore my crocs around. Everyone else had wet socs and shoes for days.

Yes they are slippery when wet, but you just have to watch for those tiled floors.

I wear crocs
I wear crocks with socks
I wear crocs in the park
I wear crocs in the dark

I would wear them in the rain
I would wear them with a pain(blood blister)

I would wear them here and there
I would where them anywhere

I do love those crocs
I do I do
I love those crocs
and you should too!:lmao:

Hi...I LOVE my crocs. I wore them the last trip and had no problems. I also wear them at home all the time. I think that is the key, you have to wear them BEFORE you go so that you can get used to them(Just like any shoe). I have the flip flops and sandals. No matter what type of shoe I wear, I always spray my feet with Dr. Scholls foot spray. My feet stay cool and dry the entire day. Hope this helps:)

I LOVE my crocs. Last trip in 2007, I wore my caymans and Athens flip flops the whole trip, except for one night in DTD, when I wore a dress, and that is when my feet hurt. I just bought myself a new pair of Athens (Red Sox!!:thumbsup2) for Mother's day, which I am wearing now, and will wear for the summer before we go to break them in....then I will probably wear them the whole trip while there!!!

Gotta Love them!;)

BTW, I think I have around 7 pair of Crocs...BUT...I cannot wear the ones without holes around the sides. I bought a pair w/o the holes a couple of winters ago thinking they would be better in bad weather, but they made my feet sweat too bad to wear. The holes and venting are what does the trick! No sweaty feet or smelly feet for me!

I wear my crocs, teva sandals, and keen newport h2s and rotate. I am a croc soccer and never had a blister, just break them in b4 you go. However, the tevas and keens offer more support and less slipping.

We will be there in Aug as well! I have a good friend who's worn her Teva's (the SAME) pair for years and swears by them. However, those darn Cleo Crocks are SO cute, I'll just wait and try them and see how they work for me. It's gonna be SOOOO hot in Aug, I think my Mickey Crocs, which are black, will make my feet sweet and then slip. Either way, Disney, here we come!!

Here at the poly now! :goodvibes. I wore my capries ALL day and no problems whatsoever! Love em so far!!

Thanks, everyone!
After reading all of this, I think I'm going with some variety of the Croc flip flops-- athens, capri, or one that's not coming to mind now. And definitely bringing Dr. Scholl's!

Crocs are fine...as long as it's dry outside. I took a bad fall once because it was wet outside so my recommendation is to avoid them when it's raining.
