To Buy or Not To Buy?

Our Guide @ DisneyLand printed out the numbers and pretty much said that they stand for 30 days. She almost encouraged us to go home and think about it. We put $500 down anyways, we already had our mind made up there were just a few questions we wanted answered.

Thanks so much for all the responses. I really appreciate them. I can't believe my dh and I are still kicking this around! But we are...so keep the info coming. I have been chatting a bit with Pat at the Timeshare Store. Maybe resale will work for us. I spoke to hubby about making the attempt to put down a deposit today to see if we could hold the incentives, then continue to do our research with the option of SSR still on the table. So many things to consider!

Btw, I am hoping that the last few responses were all good natured joking. I don't know much about DisBoards (although I've popped in while planning prior trips), but I would hate to find out that folks get to flaming each other here. I'm going to go put on my rose colored glasses and continue to believe it was just some folks poking fun.

Good luck with whatever you decide. I just bought yesterday. Took years to make the purchase. Although I wanted it ten years ago, in my case, I also didn't want it to be a financial burden. Also, we considered resale and direct during this time. So just PM me if you would like any questions answered.
