we plan on going October of next year should i book now @ SSR (home resort) even though we wanna stay @ OKW... if OKW is available @ 7 months do they cancel home resort so i can use those points for OKW... thanks

You need to tell them you need to cancel unless you have enought points to book both reservations.

I would make the ressies at your home resort 11 months out, so that you are guaranteed a room. Then, at 7 months check OKW for availability, if it's there then cancel your current room and book new one. That's what I do anyway.
