His awesome Mickey hat (we're gonna use the hat for his newborn pictures/birth announcement)

Basically he's a rockstar

One of my favorites of him in the hospital. This is how he would sleep on me when he finished nursing. It was my favorite time with him.

I'm glad you like it. I love the quilt too!! It was so much fun to get the autographs at Disney World and the characters seemed to think it was pretty cool too

Awwww!! I love it! Everything looks great and so filled with love. The calendar pages are gorgeous and I love the character shadows. Jaques and Gus running with the key might actually be my favorite touch. I want them for MY room! The quilt is so sweet!

He'll love it! (Whenever he decides to come check it out anyway!)

I love Jaques and Gus!!! I wanted to add little tiny details like at WDW. Everything Disney does has the small details hidden in it. So I was trying to incorporate that as well.

He is a big boy. But Andrew and I were both over 9 lbs ourselves so I was kinda expecting a big one. Granted I was hoping for one closer to 8.5 or 9 and not so close to 10 lbs!!

Sorry to worry you! It's hard to update Disboards from my phone and I didn't pull the computer out at the hospital (c-section made it a little hard to hold things on my lap ) But everything is ok! I kept thinking about getting on here and updating but you know how crazy things are when you get home from the hospital! I'm glad I finally had some time to do it.

Good news!! He only got up once last night!!! And I had to go in and wake him up! I'm hoping we got it figured out and it's not a fluke.

Man! Those last 2ish weeks (after my due date) were killer!! That was just miserable!
Yes...I do have help this week. I got people lined up for each day. I think if he continues this "only wake up once at night" thing I might be ok next week on my own. Or at least maybe only have people over every other day.
I'm healing really well. Only a little sore when the ibuprofen wears off. I stopped the strong stuff when I left the hospital cause it made me feel sick to my stomach

The blankets were SOO easy! I was at the fabric store and saw the awesome fabric and couldn't pass it up! We have a surger so all I had to do was cut a square and surge the edges. Took me like 3 minutes! He was pretty popular with the nurses

The blankets were so easy!! You could totally make some! I found the fabric at JoAnns. They have a ton of character flannel. I just cut it into a 36"x36" square and surged the edges.
I got the T-shirt at Target. It was my gift to Andrew for being an awesome husband. Just something small but he liked it. He put it on as soon as we got to the room after the birth! LOL

Thank you! I was so worried that I'd have an ugly baby. LOL I'm glad he turned out cute! Though I'm sure I'd think he was cute no matter what.

We loved having the little things to make him stand out like the blankets and we brought him lots of fun little soft caps so he didn't have to wear the hospital ones! Before he was born we'd stop at the nursery every time we had birth class and check out the babies. There were several that brought their own hats and we thought it was so cool that we totally stocked up on some so our baby could be cool too! LOL

Ps Pintrest is awesome for nursery ideas! I really don't use it much but I loved looking for things for the nursery on there!

And yeah, knowing what you're having really does make it feel a little more real. Though I have to say, Caden is a week old and it still doesn't really feel real yet. Haha. Like at the hospital I had to sign something and the line I was signing said "parent" and I totally looked around to grab my mom before I realized that they meant me.

Hello April. I just stumbled onto your trip report and spent the evening (between pampering my wife, that is) completely reliving the trip with you! From start to the incredibley awful finish in Atlanta! Holy Cow. Right up to the arrival of the new baby!

I just wanted to pop in and say I enjoyed it. I guess everyone has different perspectives on Disneyworld. For my family, the thrill rides are part of the whole experience, but I can see how someone else could have a great time (as you did here) without doing too much of that! I also noticed you guys were hungry a whole lot, something I want to prevent on my upcoming trip.

I'd guess that won't happen anymore as you have the little one to think about now! And wow, that room is awesome and that baby is adorable.

Great trip report! Now go do another one (when you have time away from being a mother... ha ha!)
